Renting movies, did you really chose what was OK for Christians to watch?

i remember at the hall, there was a speech where the brother said that 90% of movies weren't for christians.

the way he talked, about 90% of movies had sex in it or violence or anything that christians shouldn't watch.. funny thing is that every time i was invited to watch a movie with the jw's, there was plenty of violence in the movie they chose, and it didn't seem to bother them whatsovever.. gee, i rented lots of movies with sex and violence, and it didn't bother me at all.

back in the mid 70's my sister won a 45rpm record from a radio station, and it was horrible .

the title is "don't worry kyoko" by yoko ono.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz I think that would turn anyone off.....

something like

I, you love

do I?

forever with you I want to be or maybe You love I? you love I? do you? do you? forever with I you want to be its fun jumbling up the lyrics a bit, it sounds much more interesting than the simple statement "I love you"

I can rememeber the name of the artist, but there was this guy who would put a whole lot of amplifiers together and turn them all on

heard one of his "songs" and it sounded horrid! felt like my ears were about it bleed

Catholic Church no longer swears by truth of bible?!

Gawd defd, you complain to me if I ever say anything against the jw's yet you go ahead and bag the CC whats the deal here? don't you think your all jumping to conclusions about the CC about that article? That article is very much mis-reported, Bascially, the CC doesn't take the entire bible literally- we believe there are metaphores, poetry, symbolism, allagories, etc. Ex: a sword will come out of Jesus mouth in Rev. Most people don't take that as a literal text, instead that is symbolises he will seperate the people etc.

as the Catechism says

138 The Church accepts and venerates as inspired the 46 books of the Old Testament and the 27 books of the New.

was there much incidences where jw's and mormons would ever catch eachother while going door-to-door?.

I know jw's that converted into Catholism as well.... www.catholicxjw.com what is the point you are trying to make here?

I think many churches forget the meaning, we shouldn't just go out there and convert everyone we set our sites on, Jesus taught us to love, that is what a true christian does and that is to show love and kindness, not saying "my church is right and yours is wrong because of blah blah blah, convert now or die!" thats kinda stupid, and that is what I had people say to me, my responce would be "you are not showing very good decipleship or love towards others, I am not interested in converting"

I view churches as different types of worship, we all all different and we all can't agree on the one thing, so there is never just one type of belief per religion, most if not all religions have a divide, but in the end we all love and worship the one God our father and we are to love one another.

the only slight problem is in these religions there are cults......

so going on this forum and telling people to convert into LDS is not going to do anything, its only going to result in you getting flamed at or mocked.....
