  Can brothers wear "bow ties" instead of "ties"?

  yesterday, a brother from another congregation gave the talk.

  the first thing that i noticed was that he was wearing a "bow tie" instead of a conventional tie.

  he was also black.

  i veiw this Man vs woman stuff as a lot or crap...my wife and i have a tottaly equal marrige....we both have had carreers,,we both rasied the children....we consult each other on everything...i would do anything for her as she would me...i will not lower my fellow man as terry did ...by putting ALL the blame on man.....put put where it should be on both man and woman..the game has been played for thousands of years and still will be...

  Do J.W.'s still spank their kids in Kingdom Hall libraries to punish them?

  i've heard a lot on this subject, and was wondering if it's a common practice?.

  can you go to a meeting and almost always see some poor kid getting a walloping in the back room for talking or misbehaving at the meeting?

  or is this a thing of the past?.

  ist thing is to remember...to spank not with anger..i spanked ALL three of my kids..and they all turned out great...respectfull of other persons..not spoiled or winee....

  this notion that spanking is child abuse is WRONG ....thats why we have SO many persons today that think they can do anything they want....

  NOW beating a child is TOTALY WRONG..i was BEAT as a child...I was strapped down to a bed and whipped with a belt..now thats wrong

  BUT a little SWAT with the bare hand will NOT injure the child.....whenever i had to give my kids a swat......they knew they had three warnings before they got it....and acuatlly...the most likely stopped the bad behaviuor before the third warning came

  i also am tottaly agasint spankings at the kingdom hall or out in public...i feel that doing it out in the open WILL humilate the child....donald

  Pastor Kicks Out 9 Members For Not Supporting President Bush!

  in north carolina, a pastor told the congregation of about 100 that if they voted for john kerry, they would not be welcomed in his church.

  things this week came to a head when he took action to kick out 9 who didn't support the president.

  others, in protest for the action also have left the church.

  this is not anything to do with jw...but my wife is coming home from flordia after a week visting her sister....i compelety redid the bedroom...i put rope lighting up...a couple of neon signs...a lava lamp and lazesr....now what drink shoul i make her???

  ?i was maybee thinking baha mamas or mai teas...but open to any sugg??
