  anasazi........ i read with an open mind your post..i would like you to go to the member directory....click on my name and read my first post...and if you wish read all my post...if you can explain what has happened to me and my family...by scriptrual terms or not...ill listen...you one chance to bring me back...make good use of it...im not disfellowshipped or have not turned in a letter of disacssotion...but am trying to grasp what has happened ...keep in mind the elders have not called on myself...wife...children..even though weve left the door open to do so.

  to everyone else who reads this post...same thin..ill listen with an open mind to eithier side...but no matter what...im going back to school...im not going to waste my life by being poor and ignorant...that part ends now..... ...thank you for your time...donald

  Live Music?

  when i was a kid we had live music i our congo.. violin, piano, trombone and even accordion.

  and odd combinations of these instruments.

  the musicans also showed up on assemblys.. does anyone have live music anymore??

  guys and gals try this one on....i just found out that our local congertion...sold the old hall...with all its acrege...to the local catholic church to become a school.for preist.....i had thought the wtbs was to have no dealings with babylon the great....donald

  No birthday celebrations allowed, but graduation party is OK?

  things that make you go "hmmmmm": just learned that an elder i know living near waco, texas is hosting a graduation party for his son.

  don't remember ever reading of any faithful christian in the bible ever having such a party.

  and to think, all that honor and attention will be focused on a mere human being instead of yhwh.....

  i was at a wedding at our congertion...were 2 yous teens were out in the parking lot drinking...and they were killed on the way home.in a drunk driving accadent....(true)....now should the WTBS come out against weddings.....Donald

  Attendant ever treat you like a child at convention?

  the last straw for me was when an attendant grabbed 22 yr. old me at a cnvention and told me to come inside it was time for it to start.

  i said no, and he got in my face.

  anyone else get told what to do as an adult?

  yea at the silverdome convention in 92...i heard a attendent..say he was the eqaul..of a polciman..and these cattle had to be told what to do during sessions....how rude...donald

  What went against your nature

  in the dub life, some things that were against my nature that i did were giving talks, door to door selling, classroom debates, exclude myself from school activities, shunning dfd ones, not doing the pagan/christian celebrations, and um,, abstaining from sex.

  on the other hand, some stuff i liked was studying some of the ideas in the books, although my enjoyment of this tapered off.

  i sometimes enjoyed arguing doctrine and attacking evolution.

  i truley hated it when you would go to a door and the person at the house you were at...really did not want you there but was too timid to say and would try to get rid of you nicely......and youd push it and out ot exsaspertion they would take the stuff you were pushing...and id leave knowing what id done.....donald

  Bookstudy Group Disbanded......haha

  i just got word that the bookstudy attendance in one of the groups at my hall has dwindled off to numbers so pitiful that they're dissolving this particular bookstudy group and splitting up the remainder and shipping them out to other bookstudy groups.

  does anyone have any hard numbers on how many people have left the wts over the years?

  they claim they are so succesful and that their members are so great but im just wondering how many are dfd, da'd, or just inactive.

  what are the ratios of doors they knock on and how many convert?
