Money is what is accumulated in our society to show power. Whether you like it or not money is what makes us have power today. It allows you to be able to own things that control the way people live. If there is no money as cash we know today, there will be something else. If even one person desires to have more than the next guy, then paradise will be over. And just from what you were saying, what if everyone wanted a mansion with lots of land and were very greedy, there wouldnt be enough room for everyone. And what if someone wants to expand his big house and your little shack happens to be on the land he wants?

How can one look too deeply into this? If you are telling me that there is an everlasting life on earth then i want to know what it is going to be like, I also want to make sure it makes sense. So far it makes no sense at all. And what is having enough? Does Bill Gates have enough? Do i have enough?

What Kinds of Jobs Do JWs Have That You Know Of?
by minimus ini was thinking that most jws that i personally know have jobs that they really aren't happy with.
almost no one is a professional except for one cardiologist that got baptized a few years ago.
there's no one that's been raised in the "truth" that has a college education that i know of except one 22 year old young man who has done nothing to seek employment since he graduated.........any witnesses that you know of with great jobs?

I remember a few months ago i was looking for a used car and i went to this small dealer and inside my wife saw watchtowers and awakes. My wife asked the owner if he was a dub and he replied "the truth is the truth". I drive by about once a week and he doesnt seem to move any cars. I also noticed his daily driver is a bmw 5 series sedan less than 1 year old. I cant really figure the guy out. I wonder if he will have a bmw in paradise.

I believe the idea is living forever on paradise earth. I guess the problem can be best described with housing. For example, if people are free to live in the house of thier choice, then picture 2 men. Now picture 2 houses. If they have the freedom of choice and desire, then what if they both want the same house? If one is better than the other for some reason and one guy gets the crappy house, its not his paradise anymore. But wait, he can fix up his house or build a new one as byathread posted earlier. But if he builds a better house than the other man, then the other man will not be in his paradise anymore. So you see that wouldnt work. It would turn into a competittion and where would it end? So does that mean that we will all just live in equal sized condo style houses in communes? And as to the erosion it is fact and personally I feel it is accelerated by global warming i am not a young earthist.

But the physics will have to change if we are to be here for eternity. Do you realize that the erosion of the land where it meets the sea is so much that you can see it from space photos in the past 30 years. At this rate i suppose in a few million years at best there will be very little land left. What about the ozone layer? And supposedly there will be no more nighttime. This would mean that the earth would have to stop spinning on its axis. This is a change in physics for sure.

But this is supposed to be paradise and perfect. How can homes need to be rebuilt in a perfect world? That would mean they would deteriorate. So whos idea of paradise is living in a house that is getting old? Do you build a new one when the first problem arises? Or do you deal with the problems and make the best of it? And who is going to have to build the house? I wouldnt want to have to do any labor in paradise.

also i was wondering about animals in paradise. We all know there will be lions in paradise. But where do the lions come from? How will animals get to paradise? If they are all destroyed at the big a then is god just going to create new ones? And how many will he create? I would personally rather have all cubs cause they are cuter. But they cant ever grow up because that would conflict with eternity.

I know there are a ton of problems with the idea of paradise. I was just thinking about how much sense it doesnt make. For example how is it supposed to work as far as housing arrangements? A single man is not going to need anything bigger than a one bedroom place. And a big family might need 5 or 10 bedrooms. But is it fair that just because someone has a big family they get a bigger house? It would have to be equal for everyone. And the family with many children when the children grow up what happens? Do they leave and have thier own place? Do the parents get to keep the multi bedroom house after the kids are gone? The other option is that everyone just lives in big housing complexes. But you cant tell me that elders are going to be happy living in the same quarters as r&f. How is this supposed to all work? Paradise itself is a relative concept. According to what i have read you wont remember the old things in the new system. How can you appreciate anything if you dont know anything to judge it against? If we have no memory of old things then concrete slab houses could be paradise. It just doesnt make sense.
