Paul was here speaking. I do not agree with the JW's version of saying Paul had a vesion of the up coming paradise. Paul said he know a man. I believe just as he wrote it he know this man personally. What do think we can gleam from this an Ancient Knowledge that we today do not know or what else do you think this scriptures is saying?

by IronGland inin favor of determinism i find that almost everything i believe is something that i discover i believe as opposed to any rational decision ive made to believe it.
as i mulled over the idea of free-will not existing these last few days, i find that i continue to drive my car, walk here and there, make coffee and generally do and act however im going to act regardless of what i happen to be thinking about.
on the other hand, this part of me that controls my internal dialog also appears to be the same part that initiates speaking.

We don't have free will because our brain is hard wired so as not to let us. For ex: try to stop breathing we can't because we pass out and we will breath again in order to stop breathing we must put a plastic bag over our head and make it so our hands can not remove it. So we don't really have free will. The best we can do is admit this and try to understand what our brain is. There are really two different realities within us that really controles us will win every time unless we take actions to prevent this from happening. That is why some many Witnesses don't leave their brain will not alllow them to make the leap that the individual all ready knows he should.

Source of Flood Waters
by VM44 ini do not have access right now to the watchtower cd library, could someone check and tell me what the watchotwer now says is the source for the great flood waters?.
do they still believe the theory of isaac vail that the waters came from above and that there was a water canopy in orbit about the earth?
or does the watchtower now say that the canopy was a vapor layer, not in orbit, but a simply above the atmosphere?.

The fact is the story is copied from the Babylonians and the Gilgamesh Epic account and from other ancient accounts the wording from Gen. proves from the study of the liguistic language used that Gen was written while the Jews were under Babylons bondage so they copied the Gilgamesh Epic story to suit themselves.
