  SAN BRUNO, Calif. Three months in jail is the sentence for a California woman who used a butcher knife to beat a Jehovah's Witness, after the woman knocked on her door on Christmas Day.

  Cathy Infusino also will spend three months in a work program and three years on probation. She pleaded no contest to assault with a deadly weapon.

  Her lawyer says Infusino was paranoid and was being harassed by neighbors at the time of the attack.

  The Jehovah's Witness had shown up at Infusino's apartment by mistake and was looking for a neighbor who was interested in the religion. Infusino grabbed her by the hair and pulled her into the apartment.

  The attorney says Infusino is taking medication now and seeing a psychiatrist regularly.

  i've been reading many of the posts on the site for the last few weeks.

  i wasn't looking for a jw site but came across it by chance on a google search for australian music, when one of tijkmo's posts came up.

  my eyes nearly popped out of my head when i saw the jw chat!!!

  Just do like I do everytime this comes up and it will solve all your problems just call the information desk for yourself and ask the Society and tape the conversation here is the number to call [845] 306-1100 The inforamtion desk will tell you YES it is true and then tell you why they joined, ask them to send you a letter stating why they joined.

  Or ask your dad to be on another phone and let him listen in. This is the best way to make your dad believe. Trust My dad was DF'd and I was put on reproof because the ELDER BODY refussed to believe any piece of proof we handed them, even a letter from the SOCIETY saying they joined. The Elders said I made the letter up on the computor. The Elder body refussed to call the Soceity for them selves because they were not going to call and bother them over something that could not be true. Finally to make along story short my dad was reistated only after I begged the Society to write a letter to the body of Elders stating to them it was true. (FROM THE HORSES MOUTH) and he was reinstated the same week. We still have not been given an apology from the ELDERS.

  a few weeks ago a man that live near my house wrecked his car and was killed about 5:45 am.

  the mans friend my partner in business was at my house at 6:00 the go hunting on my place.

  after he went hunting he left to find what had happened to his friend because he had not shown up.

  She had learned to live with it. Her biggest worry was how I would react to finding out. She first started telling me what I was thinking and then would say something like isn't that weird I knew what you were thinking. Then she would answer questions I was going to ask her before I asked them. Then say wow you were going to ask that wasn't you. She slowly let me in on her secret.

  My wife when we were JW's biggest fear was she would have to go to her grave without ever letting me knows the truth about this. She say's over the years she realized it was not her problem the Jw's were wrong on this ONE THING and that ONE THING only. So after realizing the BORG was wrong on allot of this, which took her some time she then had the strength to let me know. She says she saved me twice since we have been married from getting seriously hurt by knowing the future. She says I would be crippled right now if she did not have this ability

  I've Got a Christmas Present Given by Pastor Russell

  i've got a really good collection of wts literature that i've been working on since the 1960s.

  one book i have is a copy of poems of the dawn, copyright 1912, leatherbound.. it's inscribed thus: "eleanor a. shires - a gift from pastor russell - xmas 1911".

  the cover is in rough shape, but the pages are perfect.

  Keep them. If money is no concern I would donate the collection to someone who would be able to use the material to help other come out of the BORG.

  I really a ppreciate all the post. Like I said it bothers me, the plain fact is I would be more conferrable believing that there is nothing unexsplained out there. It really has been a transformation in my belief structure allowing room for believing in all of this. I can no longer not believe her stacking it up the coincidence. I have now allowed my brain to except JW"S not being true and ESP being true. Boy what a differrent person I am now than I was just 10 years ago. All the money in the world would not changed my thinking only being humbled and realizing the fact that a persons mind is allways evolving.

  i"ve always wondered why jw's use god's first name, "jehovah" if that's what his first name really is, and is spelled correctly?

  people usually don't call their father's by their first name.isn't that disrespectful?

  shouldn't we call him "heavenly father?that way it applies to whatever higher power you believe in?.

  Headship principle

  i was talking with a good friend of mine the other day and the subject of headship came up.. i believe that the bible clearly shows that the man is the head of the family.. however, i don't believe the society portrays that headship in a correct fashion.. in my opinion the society really endorses a type of headship that doesn't really square with the teachings of the bible.. as my fade has progressed (remember we're talking several years here) my style of headship has changed very little.

  i've never been a domineering head who bossed his wife around and made hard and fast rules for the family, but, before the fade started, i felt like i could if i needed to and sometimes even felt that i wasn't a very good head because i was too soft.. now, i feel like i'm a good head of the family and that pretty much the way i've been doing it does square with the bible's viewpoint.

  now i can be the head i was but without the guilt.. i'm looking for what others here think the bible describes for the actions of the head of the family.
