I heard an excellent point this past weekend. Toward the turn of the century the name "Jehovah" was in more lit thatn it is today? Perhaps because the WT has given the name Jehovah such a bad name that these other Chrisitian groups are trying to separate themselves from the disgrace that the WT has dragged God's name thru.

Jehovah's Witnesses are Jehovah's people because we use his name, do the preaching and are a united brotherhood and have good attitudes about matters. The kind of people that Jehovah God wants.
Really? First of all show me from Scripture that because a group uses God's name (assuming you are correct in the use of Jehovah) that that makes that group "Jehovah's people". I certainly agree the WT uses the name Jehovah extensively, most notably in their false prophecying. Also, there is another group that uses extensively the Divine name...The House of Yahweh. watchtower publications written with purposeful ambiguous articles seems to be allowing many witnesses to become extremely liberal in their way of thinking.the watchtower org's view, as of late, in making more things a conscience matter, blood issues, voting, alternative service, organ transplants, attending weddings and funerals in churches, celebrating holidays, etc.

You are a fool. That is a very awesome talk. He does not just do a karaoke of an outline, He makes it alive with illustrations and experiences. I do not see why you all focus on the governing body. The best talk of the convention is the last talk of Saturday afternoon's symposium. It is called "Do not follow Satan". The point is stated that one does not have the right to tell another how to live one's life. And not to meddle. Good lesson for you all. That is what the Bible teaches and that is what the GB teaches. Stop focusing on the GB. They simply oversee the worldwide congregation. (If it is not a congregational matter, then they don't oversee it) Correct, one does not have the right to tell another how to live their life. So why does the GB place rules that do just that to its members, with the threat of being shunned if one doesn't comply? Stop focusing on the GB?
