You would, according to their theology, be better off having NEVER heard the JW message so long as you die before the end comes. If destroyed by God at the end you have no hope.

Am I wrong or would I have better chances for "Paradise earth" if I had never been exposed to the so called "Truth"?
by KristiKay ini was listening to a guy on youtube, (21 crosscheck 21) and i thought he brought up a pretty valid point.
he says jws should stop preaching immediatly because according to them if i've never heard the "truth" then god would read my heart and i would be resurrected and given the chance to live forever.
so basicly if some idiot knocks on my door trying to tell me the "good news" and for whatever reason i slam the door in their face, i've just condemed myself to eternal nothingness, but if they never came to the door in the first place, i'd be ok, or at least given the chance to pet lions forever?

Do you miss "dressing up" for the meetings?
by dozy ini was thinking about this the other day when doing a bit of tidying up of my wardrobe.
all the kh suits are now pushed to the back of the wardrobe and i am seriously thinking about a visit to the charity shop to get rid of most of them.. for me one of the (few) enjoyable aspects of being a jw was getting dressed up.
my secular work very rarely involves putting on a dress suit & tie so i miss getting dressed up - smart suit , tie , shiny shoes , slapping on the aftershave.

Joliette- old light! LOL Up till 95 it was the physical generation of 1914...re-defined in 1995 to mean wicked man alive during Christ's presence who fail to mend their ways- meaning anyone alive from 1914 onward right thru the end...they could have been born in 1975. Thus the time elemnt was removed.
Then it was re-defined to mean the annointed....but modified again to mean two groups of annointed.

Joliette, yeah, since they said they do not know if or when the door closed, and the generation is now the 1914 crew and the next group they have tickle room. The 1914 group, Fred Franz for instance, lived till 1991 or so.

Jehovah's Witnesses and the Media
by Spade inhttp://www.watchtower21.org/2011/01/jehovahs-witnesses-and-media.html.
at times, jehovah's witnesses are mentioned in the media in connection with a violent crime.
people shouldn't always believe everything they read--especially, it seems, on the internet.

I can imagine Spade/AIW/ or whatever other altar ego she is right now is swatting at a fly that doesn't exist as she is typing this. AIW, do you live on the streets in NYC? I saw a homeless person in the street swatting at a fly last week- except there was no fly there. I immediately thought of you! LOL LOL

Mary, good catch. I am convinced AIW is an escaped mental patient, severely in need of meds.

If you don't have a logical response or refutal; just spout some unrelated gibberish.
That works all the time if you're eleven. Act your age.
My reply: Unfortunately, replying to you brings the person replying down to your low level. You have said nothing logical to refute...so there is no logical response.

TRENTON — A former Ridgewood woman on Tuesday admitted her role in a scheme that defrauded lenders and generated more than $4.7 million in fraudulent home mortgages, prosecutors said.
Taya Romano, 34, of Edmund, Okla., had been negotiating a plea deal with federal prosecutors since she was arrested and charged in January, authorities said.
Romano, who also used the alias Taya Waldon, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to a single count of mail fraud. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
The scheme operated for seven months in 2007 and 2008, and involved 12 properties in Paterson and one in East Orange.
Brian J. Neary, a lawyer for Romano, did not immediately return a phone call for comment.
Romano would fill out applications for buyers and falsely indicate that they were making a down payment, which allowed the buyers to qualify for a loan large enough to cover the purchase price, authorities said. In fact, the buyers were told they were receiving no-money-down loans, according to a complaint. The down payments came from the proceeds of the loan.
The scheme operated from December 2007 to June 2008, prosecutors said.
Prosecutors said Romano later acknowledged that lenders would not have given the money to the buyers had they known that she was covering their down payments.
False closing documents were generated as a result of the fraud and mailed by Federal Express, prosecutors said, resulting in the mail fraud charge.
The scheme netted Romano “substantial profits” when she sold the properties to buyers at inflated prices, prosecutors said, but the exact amount is in dispute. If the court finds that the amount Romano received was more than $1 million, a stiffer sentence could be imposed because of federal sentencing guidelines, according to court documents.
The documents also do not specify the amount of money lenders lost in the scheme, saying only that it was more than $200,000 but less than $7 million.
An accomplice, Elizabeth Labruna, 53, of Little Falls, who acted as a settlement agent at closing transactions, pleaded guilty on Nov. 1 of last year to one count of mail fraud and is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 7. She faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
