Jwfacts-- More Lies But This Time About The Great Crowd
by Recovery injwfacts has an article that explains why the great crowd must be in heaven.
i am also aware that many of these are the same arguments that stemmed from the 'awakenings at bethel' so my statements are not simply attacks of jwfact's character (since these arguments are probably not original) but rather his copy and paste of what others have said instead of verifying it as 'fact' for himself.. so here are jwfacts arguments:.
1. he shows that russell and rutherford (at some point) believed that the great crowd were in heaven.. 2. each term that describes the great crowd of revelation 7 is else used to described the anointed by the wt.

This must be true because nothing else fits
by biometrics inso elder x came over the other day to convince me about why jehovah's witnesses have 1914 correct.
i wrote about this some time ago, but the elder never returned.
he caught me off-guard, and unprepared.. he went through the reasoning book (p95), and pointed out all the reaons (day for a year, daniel, 360 days, 2520 ...).

Recovery said:
Enjoy your christian fellowship and help from the elders while you still can. Apostates are not going to lead you anywhere but out of the organization and into dried, muddied, waters. The organization has many flaws, but don't allow yourself to be mislead out of it so easily
My reply:
Christian fellowship? Why? Because they proclaim themselves to be the only true Christians? Being led out of the organization? The history of the organization shows that even IF God operated solely thru an organization (and this is a totally baseless assertion that he does), it certainly would not be the one that follows the teachings of the governing body. Their less than desireable track record, chock full of false prophecies, ridiculous teachings, and scandals makes that clear.

I am surely not reading through 7 pages of this...This is not the first time this kind of thread has come up, so Recovery you are more than welcome to use the search engine here and on the web. Although I doubt you are seriously looking for answers, but are simply trying to spew JW doctrine. I am not sure if this has already been covered in this long thread, but my questions to you are:
On what basis does the 'little flock' Jesus addressed in Luke 12:32 become the '144,000' mentioned in Revelation?
On what basis does the 'other sheep not of this fold' become anything other than the gentiles (which the context and immediate events thereafter shows it to be) equate to the 'great crowd' in Revelation?
While chewing on this you may also want to ask yourself why the WT attributes certain things to the 144,000 that it does not attribute to the great crowd when the Bible does not do this.

Stop fighting about Oompa.
by Robert7 ini am writing this because i am so upset about the bickering and fighting that is going on about oompa.
this was an amazing wonderful, peaceful, giving man who never met a strager who is now deceased and you are taking his name and running all over the place with it using it for your own agendas.
he is not a statistic.

Oompa and I used to talk on the pohne, but we had lost touch over the years. We last spoke on the phone soon after he was released from the hospital following the motorcycle incident. I am shaken up by this, and truly sorry for everyone affected. Eric was a fun-loving, compassionate person.
Stacy, you were a wonderful, loyal, true friend to Eric who did everything in your power to help.

I was told I would never make it to high school...then that I would be dead by 20, then at a very young age...reminescent of how the 1914 generation kept including older and older people. LOL
