my husband said we could plan our first trip to ireland in the spring.

we'd like to rent a house (not luxurious) so that our kids can join us.

legolas thanks alot ill read that properly soon, it really helps me to see this kind of stuff as ive been brought up in it all my life and iits like 'wow can it really not be true?' (i know its not now just wish my family could see it too)

thing is tho if they change it and i just have the cd rom youd have to get the orginals too, wouldnt you?

there are many websites (like this one) that use quotes from wt publications, however, the wt has not filed a lawsuit against those websites... yet.. any ideas on what specific quotes at http://quotes.watchtower.ca pissed of the wt so that the wt has now filed a lawsuit?.

it has to be some specific quotes.

something that really embarrasses those wt bastards.

Now they "Excommunicate"??

some of you might had read that in one of my other post...my father, who is the only jw in the family, came up with the word "excommunicated" when talked about disfellowshipement.

now, nobody here seems to have any idea what this is all about.

he seems pretty certain that it's now the proper word to use.

a few months ago my jw sister emailed me out of the blue asking for me to suggest a good telescope for her little girl (about 12, but i'm not sure).

my niece has had a strong interest in science since she was very little and my sister is trying to encourage her.

if you are wondering, yes, my sister and her jw husband do shun me... so basically she got the info she needed and then disappeared again.

i always thought the reasons why we cant celebrate birthdays was stupid! but wish id not read all this thread now coz im going to sironas 30th party on saturday, and am at the hall in the morning while they dicuss my reinstatement letter! mad or what!

Should I get Disfellowshipped? (sorry, it's excommunicated, now)

my mother and i have been baptised, and we both faded.

without a try from anyone, elder or other to get us back.

the thing is, my father is still in.

no its definatsly still being used i got --------- has been disfellowshipped from the christian congregation, six months ago,

i cant understand why u would want to do it if u have faded anyway, i have caused such pain to my family in fact just put a thread on as im being pressured to be reinstated and am finding it so hard to resist my familys pain (they dont talk at all apart from my dad alittle bit)

plus theres a difference in going to see a dodgy movie and openly speaking to your dfed daughter it may back fire on you if he is a good dub he may be torn between you and 'how it looks' do you really want to cause him that pain?

and if he would continue talking to you then he cant be that strong in the 'faith' so you could prob draw him away anyway

i was given valium when i had my eyes lasered didnt seem to do anythind for me at all! but like someone said just coz it doesnt affect one person doesnt mean it wont affect someone else a different way
