scholar i would like you to post your list of kings as my dad speaks of apostates missing out a persian king! (tho i thought the list was following the babylionan kings) and wondered if your list was the same coz im not sure what he was on about,

but bascially i think the witness always come back with the answer about the 70 years, counting from the recognised date of 535bce

i was actually baptized in my early 20's, so i spent some time as a teen and early twenties doing things that were not witness-like.

one of those things was sex out of marriage and to be honest, i have no regrets.

i have wondered though sometimes, where is that person i shared such a landmark moment with in life.

ive been over this so many times with my dad, he says the 'well at least we have the truth now' and wheni ask how could they be the choosen ones in 1919 if they got so many things wrong? he just sayd that jehs servants thruout history have been mistaken on certian pionts, ie, the apostles thought jesus was coming then, and also daniel misunderstood stuff that was cleared up later, and i never quite knew how to answer him on that?

but jeff, your point is great that it has always been obvious who jeh approved off so why would he not make it clear if it was the witnesses when it means peoples lives?

i have looked up alot of information on cainine whelping that seems helpful but do any of you have any advice or personal experiences in the doggie birthing process?

in the "journey home" series on ewtn, which jeff schwem was on a while back, jeff mentioned a bible change from one printing of the nwt to a later printing of it.

this interested me tremendously, since my j.w.

sister-in-law told me one day that "the nwt bible never changes".

reason i ask is its one of the things my dad has 'proved' to me! (so he thinks) he copied the wt from 1964 that clearly says they would veiw it as cannibalism if someone submitted to an organ transplant, but my dads piont was that on the same page it also said 'it is not our place to decide whether such operations are advisable or warrented from a scientific or medical standpiont, it would be well tho for christians faced with a decision in this regard to consider the indication as to gods veiwpiont presented in the scriptures.'

then he copied an atricle from 1980 saying this is a matter for conscientious decision by each person.

so my point is i always thought that the wt forbidded it and that people got dfed for it, and then years later it was changed but loads had already lost their life, my dads piont was it always was a personal decusion,

anyone have any proof the org did df people?

here is yet another thread about me (im so sorry everyone) but hopefully this is the closing chapter, and i just wanted to let anyone thats helped me along the way to know whats happened.. i saw my dad and this time i was totally honest, he took me to some places we went as a child and said basically i have no choice but to stop seeing my boyfreind, and attend the meetings again maybe even work at mending my marriage as that is the only way i will ever be truely happy (apparently).

i said that even tho it means the past 9 months of attending and trying to get reinstated are a waste i just have to stop going to the meetings, i do not believe the society really acting on jehs behalf, (jeh would never shun me, etc) he said he cannot believe how spiritual iwas and that i am so 'apostate' now and in veiw of that he can have nothing to do with me, he cried i cried he said i am dead to him and it breaks his heart esp as he has to deal with the tumours he has found out he has,.

i feel so bad as he has tried to answer my questions and has come up with an answer on them all (except the un) and i know i am throwing contact with my family away and hurting them alot.

ive felt ok about it till i read my dads letters and realise what pain i am putting them through! i got alittle drunk last night and the bf was nasty and we have spilt up now, he just takes off me and gives nothing back, everytime i try and talk and have some understanding he just makes a joke!

now i DO feel like i have lost everything!
