  elder snooping on facebook

  my dad rang me last night really upset coz he had decided to go on facebook under a fake name to see what some people were up to in his hall and while he was there he decided to type my name in and he did not loike what he saw ie low tops short skirts the ex jw groups im on and also the night out i went on last sat with our very own sirona (a known apostate who apperently 'ruined my faith' according to my family).

  anyway he's coming tonight to help me deactivate my account and i'm not going to he knows i dont want the 'truth' so why is he still trying to control me?.

  and also like i pionted out these people hes checking out will not be happy hes been snooping and he can't see it just thinks he is helping them?.

  i started a thread about my dad finding me on facebook but the truth is my brother was on it ive just got a call from him saying i cant have anything to do with facebook or i can have nothing to do withj him or his baby!!!.

  i feel so upset ok i was on ex jw sites on there but even gettin rid of then was not enough he said i have to get rid of facebook forever or i cant see him or my nephew#.

  i dont know what to do.... my dad is in the middle and not well and old and so sad at the cofrontationtation i feel bad!!!

  im going my dads later my brother has told him and my mum about my pics and the ex jw groups i really dont know what to do obviosly id choose my brother over face book but my piont is if i get rid of some pics and dont go on ex sites (god help me if they knew i was on this one!) then whats his prob i cant understand i may as well still be dfed

  spoke to my dad he says i cn set up my account again when im stronger todeal with things....

  but got to face my mum later who has actually been really good but will be upset at the sites i jioned

  the counselling idea is good but u know fulln well what jw would go to a 'worldly councillor' no way i feel like saying to my brother fine then u have no contact with my daughter his only neice unless he gets off freinds reunited i dont see the difference if i delete the 'bad stuff!' but dont know if i have in me to fight anymore you can never win with a brainwashed family!!

  you're right they control me coz i let them, its just so hard when they are so upset,

  and also it is true if all your life you have obeyed people its hard to make our own decisions, i find that anyway.

  but finally they do know where i stand and that i want nothing to do with the 'truth' and its awful coz the're so disappionted but i am 33 not 10 so its about time i behaved like it.

  i was "born" into jws in 1976. my mother was baptized in 1975.. ouch.

  thanks for sharing your story, does your wife still go to the meetings?

  i have had the seeing your dead loved ones again too, its awful how they make you feel guilty,

  and its hard realising it isnt 'the truth' and having family still in it.

  thanks gys he has just gone i stuck by my guns just said fair enough it isnt nice to see them pics but im not deactivating my account.

  you're all right how long has this been going on?? and also i have my own house i don't live with them and it is my life!

  i know i've been a pain in the past and like someone said i either have to deal with it or stop moaning about it!

  my dad ended up being lovely and apperently it was my brother who keeps 'finding' me on the internet and he is going to ring me soon... great!!

  he wrote me a letter saying he knows i dont want the faith bt my 'associations have always been the problem and still are and it is really time i cut them off then you can associate freely with people who really love you#

  so even tho im reinstated i still can't associate freely with anyone unless i'm living the good dub life!

  ps anyone can set up a fake account, and i thought i was 'invissable'
