I'm okay, James. Just a mite tired of spending so much time on all the JW stuff in my life. I gotta say being a Jezebel isn't easy and there's no glory in it either. Thanks for asking.

Thanks everyone for your input, including james_woods.
I appreciate all the variety of thoughts and suggestions and have yet to make a decision whether it's worth the time and effort to reply to Silvio or not. I get all types of JW-related emails through my website and I try to reply to them all, but every so often one like Silvio's comes in which I resent spending any time on, yet, at the same time I wonder if maybe I can help the JW to get his/her head on straight.
Anyway, if I do decide to reply, I'll surely incorporate some of your excellent thoughts and that should cut down the time it would take me to construct a balanced reply.
Hey, just a thought, if anybody out there has the time and wants to write a reply to Silvio addressing the issues he has, PM me.

New Message from Website Reader: Silvio Their email address is: And their message is:
hello Mrs Anderson
This short message is from Italy .. and of course my English wont be perfect ...
just making a research about a coming soon talk i ll be in charge of ..
i did banger to your articles about the organization ...
It was not my intention to read such articles written by disf ones who became apostati ... yet .. i did it almost all of them ..
Im in the truth for 20 ys almost ... and i live in a cathoiic country where the back ground influences some times - the manners ( i say the manners not the doctrine ) of brothers and sisters .. example ... being intrusuve in many silly things ..
Im my 20 ys i have seen very good fellows ... some not super brilliant and just a few bad ones that .. by time had been cut off from the organization .. just as it happened during the 1st century ..
I saw the organization improving its understanding about the bible .. and admit some mistakes made in good faith thru the years .. just as it happened when Poul and Peter had to argui for the circoncisione ....
Now that we all see ... we all see .. this system of things falling down ... becouse of the financial crisis .. the poverty or morals ... the end of the general love ... the manipolative persecution of the demonds ( and u know that is real ) by means of \"the big tradrs \" the \"false religions \" the \"nationalism\" ... do you thing that your work is giving honor to the almight God ?
do you think that you President Obama will save all of you from the coming soon great tribulation ?
Do you think that you sense of \"justtice\" will save you from armaghedon ?
We all see things that must be fixed withing the organization ...
we all had been some times disappointed by men .. by men ...
we all - in time -saw some of those things fixed for good too ..
i personally think - that you and you husband - after being close to Jehovah for many years - should just feel ashemed for what you r doing .. and i believe that you work has more to do with persoanl ambizione and fame than with your desire to justice .
Your son and his wife are giving you a good lesson - being separated from you - and that - as you well know - its not ostracismo - but the application of the apostle Poul as read in the letter to the Corinthians ....
Just as Russel s wife ,,, yours conduct has more to do with fame than justice - reading the book of acts and see with your eyes that the good women of gerusalem knew how to be in their place while the D.B. took the lead .. even .. making mistakes about the understandig of the circoncisione .
Im not saying that you were not genuinally disappointed when/if/u really knew about sex abuse to minor ( if that was trully that big and trully hidden in bad faith by the sllave
Im not saying that thru the years some decisions about blood parts / taking to the court of cesar / the profecy of the 7 times / had not to be changed ..
im saying that you had not been able to stay humbly in your place while Jehovah would fix the matter at the proper time .
Once again .. the reasons of yours could have been good but this apostate web site has more to do with persoanl fame than helping the people .. and maybe this is typical of an anglosaxon country where some protestant bishops want women to be preasts and bishops too .
Im sure that you well know what John wrote on Rivelation about the class of Izabel ... .. do you think you will have a different sort ?
You and your husband should just be ashemed .

Psychology - Articles: Mental health of Jehovah's Witnesses
by AndersonsInfo ini'm curious.
for the benefit of all, perhaps some who were psychology students in college and are posters on jwn (and anybody else for that matter) would like to comment on the somewhat controversial material i've posted here which was sent to my face book page.the short article below in english was originally in italian and is google translated.
in this recent article, the italian psychology student who wrote it points to an "... old article by john spencer (psychiatrist) published in the '75 british journal of psychiatry , titled '"the mental health of jehovah's witnesses,"' which, the author said, "speaks for itself.

Do you agree with the Italian psychology student's thesis as follows?
JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES MUST AGREE WITH THE PSYCHOLOGY? # 1 Diagnostic techniques considered contrary to the will of God
April 21, 2012
Scientific psychology is a discipline that goes far beyond psychoanalysis, which it has its own branch as a diagnostic and therapy for the treatment of neuroses.
Jehovah's Witnesses, however, were thrown to the hilt against psychoanalysis, hypnosis and defining clearly the interpretation of dreams as methodologies in conflict with the will of God and related each to spiritualism and divination.
But what exactly is hypnosis and dream interpretation?
Hypnosis is a state of high suggestion that can be used to correct bad behavior and trends.
The interpretation of dreams is a diagnostic technique based on the idea that the dream is a symbolic representation of instincts or fears related to the mechanism of free association, not predicting the future based on what you dream .
Hypnosis is highly stigmatized by Jehovah's Witnesses, because of the belief that a suggestible mind is more likely to become the subject of demonic possession. In this regard, following this reasoning would be very dangerous to fall into depression, because the suggestion is typical of the depressed and even more dell'ansioso.
But the witnesses did not speak of this. It 's interesting to note, however, statistics in hand, that the witness for the probability of slipping from depression to psychosis is about four times higher than among the general population. In this regard, point out an old article by John Spencer (psychiatrist) published in the '75 British Journal of Psychiatry , titled "The mental health of Jehovah's Witnesses," which speaks for itself.:
http://www.blueletterbible.org/study/cults/exposejw/expose66.pdf
We can then generalize: depression and its suggestion - in susceptible - this time can precede a psychotic episode.
What can I say? The witnesses will be accused of psychotic spiritualism?
Warning! This has happened several times!

http://www.blueletterbible.org/study/cults/exposejw/expose66.pdf
Si può quindi generalizzare: la depressione e la relativa suggestione – nei soggetti predisposti – può tal volta precedere un episodio psicotico.
Che dire? I testimoni psicotici verranno accusati di spiritismo?
Attenzione! Questo è avvenuto più volte!

This post is not an advertisement to sell a book. Please read on and you'll see why I thought you might like to meet my husband, Joe's sister, Nancy.
Back in the 1950s, much to her family's dismay, Nancy was not interested in spending her life as a JW and left the group when she was 16. She married a fledgling banker at an early age (probably to escape the JWs and her family), moved from Dallas, Texas, to Apple Valley, Calif., and had three children. When the kids were in their teens, Nancy went to college in an era when few women followed their dreams. She eventually became successful as a career counselor. (Usually successful people dissatisfied in their careers sought Nancy's expertise to see in what field their real talents lay.)
Many years ago, Nancy wrote a book about working with passion, and, a few years ago, her publisher asked her to update it especially for the very large Baby Boomer group. She's semi-retired now, and is busy talking about her book in interviews, etc.
Today, we received an email Nancy sent to her fans that I've posted here and I also posted an excerpt from her book, advice that can be helpful to those of us in midlife and beyond who have begun a new life, but for different reasons than from most of her clients.
I'm not posting this information to sell Nancy's book because the book is a success. I'm sharing this story about Nancy because this presently successful woman's future could have been so different if she had been baptized like my husband at 11, and spent a lifetime chasing an illusionary pipedream as her brother and I did. We are very proud of Nancy and hope to continue to rekindle what we lost when we shunned her for decades because we had nothing in common as we went down a different road, one that led us nowhere.
I hope you enjoy Nancy's thoughts and here's Nancy's email.

2012 is turning out to be a year of shedding illusions for what will work in the day to day world. At first, coming down to earth seems boring because there’s no drama. But when we make freedom our priority we experience the excitement that comes from knowing we can handle the challenges that life brings to us. You’ll find reminders of how to get to this confident state of mind in an excerpt from the Intro to the WwP Midlife book that was posted by BoomerCafe, a lively, informative website. Feel free to add your comment, and pass on the link:

Finding Passion in Midlife and Beyond
May 8, 2012
Every once in a while, we hear from a boomer who has figured out — or is figuring out — how to thrive at this stage of our lives. For this edition of BoomerCafé, that would be Nancy Anderson, author of Work with Passion in Midlife and Beyond. She has adapted a short section from her book for BoomerCafé; it’s about Finding Passion in Midlife and Beyond.Nancy Anderson
After reading hundreds of boomers’ autobiographies over the past three decades, I’ve concluded that life is a story that needs to be rewritten in midlife to reflect the desires of the authentic self. This means, the personality that emerges in our early forties, when material goals are not as important as finding answers to questions of ultimate concern: who am I, why am I here, and what should I do with the rest of my life? By contrast, when we are younger, we need to go for the personal gold, experiment with many options, try on different personas, and compete with peers for status and recognition.
Navigating the transition into midlife and beyond takes courage and persistence, since the younger self holds on with all its might in a culture that values outer success more than inner success. Holding onto what is dead and gone can provoke the well-known midlife crisis , with its regressive symptoms of alienation and depression. The solution is to let go of everything that has outlived its usefulness so that life energy can be redirected into goals that bring personal fulfillment, particularly in your work.
Given the volatile economy, rising costs of living, and the likelihood that safety nets such as social security , and dividends from investments and savings, may not be enough to cover expenses when you are older, now it is not just a matter of if you should follow your passion. You absolutely must find the work that engages your heart in order to weather the turmoil that will be around for some time to come.
Passion will carry you through economic downturns because you get better and better as you age, expertise that makes you virtually recession-proof. Once you are in the niche that nourishes your soul and serves others, you will be the center of calm in a stormy world.
To use a business analogy, owners and managers who survive and thrive in difficult times adapt to changes in the marketplace. They get rid of what is not working to make room for what works. This can be painful, but a streamlined operation sets the stage for new and more profitable ways to serve consumers.
Similarly, to survive and thrive in midlife and beyond, get rid of distractions like obsolete possessions, over drinking, overeating, socializing too much, working too much, and spending time with people who drain your energy. With distractions out of the way (and this will take a while), rewrite your life story so that the outcome matches who you are and what you value at this stage of life.
For example, pay attention to passion clues, such as work you would do even if you did not get paid for it, and enjoy the process as much as the result. Make a list of what you do naturally and well, then connect with employers, customers, or clients who need your enthusiasm and expertise to reach their goals. Be assured, once you get and stay on the passion track, you will arrive at your destination, getting paid to do what makes you feel free, useful and creative.

Inquiry to my website: What to do about 16 yr old converting to JWs? I will send family JWN link

I received the following email today at my website, www.watchtowerdocuments.com. Please help this loving uncle with some advice:
Hello, I dont know if anyone can help me with this but I thought I would give it a shot. I'm a non-religous 30 something year old man and I have a problem. I have always thought each to their own when it comes to religion and lifestyle; I figure it's none of my business as long as my family and loved ones are well looked after.
Now, my 16 year old niece has been taken in by JW's because her new boyfriend is a member, and they have been told that she must convert or they cannot be together anymore.
Seeing as this is her first boyfriend and she is at an impressionable age, plus the fact she is quite insecure in herself, it hasn't taken much to persuade her to join in the bible studies etc, and start believing in things that only 2 months ago she had no interest in at all. I have expressed my concerns over this with her - she views me more as a father figure than an uncle, since her own parents care very little for her - and have been met with nothing but robotic answers and a lot of preaching about how 'god is love'. This is not my niece; we are very close and I know her very well, more like a good friend, and the person I talk to now is no longer her.
I have read a lot about the negative aspects of the JWs and I have warned her about them, yet she seems completely oblivious to anything I say and only gets defensive about her new found faith.
I feel like I have lost an honourary daughter, a loving niece who used to care deeply about family, and a good friend all in one and am at a loss as to what to do now.
Thank you for reading this.

Where is the Society headquarters these days?
by rory-ks ini actually find this whole matter a bit creepy.
i find it very hard to think of the watch tower society as a cult in the same mould as jonestown or the branch davidians, and yet their out-of-town facilities increasingly take on the appearance of a cultish stronghold.. where is the society headquarters these days?
is it up in wallkill?

Very funny, "insearchoftruth." We wish that was so cause it would certainly dim their "spacey" (not in touch with reality) influence.
The further away from the earth the GB were the better off for the inhabitants of the wacky Watch Tower world.
Just my opinion.

The Legal, Service (Christian Congregation), and Writing Correspondence Departments are located at the Patterson, NY, facilities as well as Art and Graphics along with some other misc. departments that were at Brooklyn until they were moved in the 1990s.
Each member of the Governing Body has an apartment in Brooklyn, Patterson, and Wallkill, but correspondence is to be addressed to them in Brooklyn where their main residence still is. The office address still is 25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, NY 11201. The home address of all Brookllyn Bethelites including GB members is 124 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, NY 11201.
Back last February, I sent to Brooklyn to GB member, David Splane, the Overseer of the Writing Department, a "Registered" envelope that contained my "Open Letter to the Writing Department" where it was signed for and I subsequently received the receipt back from. http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/221883/1/Letter-to-the-Writing-Department-from-Barbara-Anderson.
In addition, I know of other former JWs that sent "Registered" letters to specific members of the GB in Brooklyn from where they also received signed receipts back.
I would venture to say that at this point in time the Society's headquarters are still in Brooklyn. The plan is that Warwick, NY, will become the International Headquarters of JWs, but now that complex is only in the beginning stages of construction. If and when I hear differently, I'll post the information.

by Alfred ina friend just showed me a message from steven unthank on facebook where he mentioned (about 4 hours ago) that the state of victoria will be launching an investigation into all religions, including the jehovah's witnesses... he also mentioned that he will likely testify.. i don't know anything else about this because the message was brief, but i assume it has something to do with the protection of pedophiles.... has anyone else heard this yet?.

On the JW News facebook page Steven Unthank posted the following:
www.jwnews.netSPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
On January, 31, 2011, Victorian Premier, Ted Baillieu, launched the "Protecting Victoria’s Vulnerable Children Inquiry" to comprehensively investigate systemic problems in Victoria’s child protection system, and make recommendations to strengthen and improve, the protection and support of vulnerable young Victorians.
On June 8, 2011, Steven Unthank gave a public verbal submission to the Inquiry, in addition to a substantial written submission of which w as not published. Unthank's submission was against the religion of Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Watch Tower Society, over the criminal abuse of children within their church setting. The verbal submission primarily discussed the failure of the religion to comply with the Working with Children laws. http://bit.ly/children-inquiry
On February 21, 2012, the Inquiry handed its report to the state government. Section 14.5 of the report deals with, not only Steven Unthank's testimony and submission, but also the submissions of a number of others, against various religious organisations. Recommendation 48 of the report (Section 14.5) stated that "a formal investigation should be conducted into the processes by which religious organisations respond to the criminal abuse of children by religious personnel within their organisations. Such an investigation should possess the powers to compel the elicitation of witness evidence and of documentary and electronic evidence."
Today, the State of Victoria announced that they will investigate religious organisations. Among those to be investigated will be the religion of Jehovah's Witnesses. Steven Unthank will again be giving evidence.
