What’s Your Opinion of Vice President Kamala Harris?
by minimus ini think she has the happiest laugh i’ve ever heard!.

I personally do not like her stand on abortion (to not give aid to a living attempted aborted baby should be repugnant to all in my opinion) (as well as selling baby parts, which is actually illegal and which she apparently finds no issue with) she is an &*(&^% so and so. ;
On abortion, Harris has voted against every pro-life piece of legislation she could, including bills with bipartisan support.
For example, earlier this year she voted against the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Act, which would have protected unborn babies from abortion procedures after the point at which they can feel pain (20 weeks).
Harris also voted against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would have required doctors present during a failed abortion -- an abortion that results in the birth of a living infant -- to provide the same level of care that would be offered to any other baby at the same stage of development.
Harris voted against Pain-Capable in 2018 and Born Alive in 2019 as well. She also voted against the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act that would have codified the Hyde Amendment and prohibited abortion coverage in Obamacare.

Time Indefinite
by StephaneLaliberte infrom a very young age, i was always annoyed by this translation time indefinite simply means: time that has not been defined.
where the new world translation uses "time indefinite", other translations use "everlasting" and "eternal".
honestly, it makes much more sense to me "everlasting" and "eternal" as "time indefinite" would leave room for god to define that time later on.

Probably because they would have difficulties with- (just a few)
John 6:68 Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
John 10:28-30 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.
1 John 5:13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.
Many scriptures regarding eternal life refer to Jesus and the wt doesn't have much use for Him, in my opinion.
Also just because they like to be different. Time is construct for man not God.

If not the WT/JW relgion where else are 'we' to go? Why not atheistic/scientific philosophical naturalism?
by Disillusioned JW insometimes jws wonder if the wt/jw is not the truth, 'then where else are we to go?
' i say 'why not atheistic/scientific philosophical naturalism and why not a secular philosophy which teaches a way of life?
' what do you folks say?.

The comment, "you are still at it" was meant that you were still going door to door so to speak trying to convince people of your belief system, whatever that may be at the moment. Yes, I am well aware that jw's believe in a god and then they also have their bigger god jehovah. But in their minds they still only have one. I guess math isn't their strong point.

Dear Disilllusion,
I read your response and appreciate what you said in all seriousness. Then I reread it and had to laugh a bit, you were at one time a jw? if so, then you in all likelihood went door to door trying to convince people that the jw's were in fact the one true religion, blah, blah, blah...... don't you see? you are still at it, trying to convince people there is no god. Why do you care if one believes or not? I mean no offense at all, I am truly curious as to why you feel the need to change peoples minds about anything?
I do wish you well on your journey. Who knows? you may one day move on from humanism to something else, good to keep an open mind.

God vs ET`s ,why is one more probable than the other ?
by smiddy3 inbillions of people around the world beleive in a god of some sort or other who exerts some power or influence to some degree or other in lifes affairs .. i don`t think there would be anywhere near that figure that would entertain the possability of extra terrestial life elsewhere in the universe.. and i find that curious .. the ancients didn`t know that their were other humans on other continents on this planet until they ventured out and found them .. we live somewhere in the milky way galaxy with millions of suns and planets that orbit them.. our galaxy is only one of trillions if not zillions of galaxys in the known universe.. look at the diversity of life on just this one planet earth ,what possabilitys could exist elsewhere ?
on alien worastronomers can use the hubble space telescope to view galaxies near the edge of the observable universe (the region of space from which light has had a chance to reach us within the last 13.77 billion years).
by examining a very tiny portion of the sky, counting up the number of visible galaxies in the universe in that specific region, and then multiplying that number to account for all the regions of the sky, astronomers estimate the number of galaxies in the universe.

If you believe in God, why wouldn't God make life on other planets and galaxies? (it is estimated that there are hundreds of billions of galaxies)
If you are an atheist, why wouldn't life form elsewhere as it did here on Earth?
