JW News - yup it's a thing

you might have seen my post a little while ago about how they were throwing around a new term, "jw news" and inserting it in articles.

well now they went ahead and made a logo for it.. .

oh brother 🤣 i wonder if this'll be part of the programming on jw studios' paid streaming service 😉.

Road to Nowhere said, "I am amazed how many dubs really do not watch news."- This really surprises me as my jw is nearly obsessed with news. All the better to justify his belief that things are just getting worse and worse.... Oddly we know Christian folks who barely watch news and feel that God is in control no matter what happens and they merrily go on their way in life without having the bad news of the day dictating their moods with black clouds surrounding them 24/7.

The jw looks for gloom and doom around every corner affecting their general outlook on life while the aforementioned Christians looks for stories of light and love. They see stories of and participate in stories of helping others when possible and see the world in an entirely different light than the average jw. And yes, I hear some odd conversation in my world. While my jw is trying to spread his gloom of the world the Christians will tell their stories and it is like I am living in some weird science fiction movie sometimes. The two opposing opinions seem to be on separate planes of existence or something.

From the article, "... were denied access to religious studies despite requests by their parents to let them study Christianity"-

the parents wouldn't appreciate them being able to study Christianity either, they should have said jw-ism, jw doctrine, men in NY or some such other. Why don't the parents home school?

I have a question, you said, " Also all those years in UK when sick and elderly etc not allowed to write letters."- I am a ubm (unbelieving mate) so does that mean if you were sick they didn't allow or 'count' letter writing as an alternative to door to door (d2d for future reference on board) ? I thought they made allowances for certain people in dire conditions. Maybe it depended on who you knew? or individual congs?

What have you learn being on this site?

i have learn a lot about the religion and congregations.

when i was active visiting meetings, i was there for the spiritual food.

i actually thought everyone else was there for same reason ;-) i have learn there's a great variation among jws.

I found out as a ubm (unbelieving mate) that this cult is way worse than I ever could have imagined.

I also found out that people are generous with their knowledge and really do want to help if they can.

You should have a better view of yourself! Didn't you know it's hip to be a square? err, kind of a square? I like the antennas, better than my horns though they might be fitting?

Colloidal Silver

i was curious if anyone had/has any experience with the use of colloidal silver for antibiotic and/or wound healing?

a health food store clerk recommended this in answer to my question about such.. thank you in advance.. just as a ps, i have heard about the man who turned his skin complexion blue.

apparently he ingested large amounts and applied it all over himself for an extended period.

The blue guy made his wrong and drank it by boatloads that's why he turned color.

I use and make my own colloidal silver and use it when necessary. Great for tooth infections, throat, etc... works for me. I don't take it all the time, use more as one would an antibiotic. Great for cuts too, you can find band aids with colloidal silver in them and burn units use silver from what I am told.

If you want to make your own there are numerous videos on it and also Earth Clinic has a really good video. Many home remedies there. Naturally do your own research when treating yourself or loved ones. Look up many different sources and don't rely on just one source.

but they understand references to wood chippers and banjo music.. other than that the rating system is not worldwide .

When mine joined up he quit watching anything R rated. 'Shindler's List' would be on the banned movies for instance. Even PG were suspect, even Disney movies are often PG. sigh.

Isn't that part of brainwashing 101? read the paragraph, ask question about paragraph, have subject parrot it back. The repetition along with the fear of not going outside the lines is sure to keep group think in check.
