i am an atheist and i disapprove of the death penalty.

i remember michael dukakis, when he was a usa presidential candidate, saying i he was opposed to the death penalty - even for rapists and murderers.

What is the purpose of prison? to rehabilitate, to punish or both? I think some are able to be rehabilitated like white collar crime and so forth but some are just evil and cannot be rehabilitated nor do they want to be. If someone hurt, tortured & raped my grandchildren or kids I think I would be able to pull the lever so to speak. Or if our prisons and jails were truly horrific let them live. I know a defense attorney and they say in the US prisons the inmates can get any drugs, telephones and so on, they have their own society with their own 'perks'. Not saying it is the same as being free on the outside but some have clearly chosen to be there, according to my defense attorney friend. The attorney says that some just find it easier to be on the inside. I find it hard to believe too, they claim it to be true for some.

I also find it interesting that most people who oppose the death penalty also approve of abortion. I have not looked up studies on such, just an observation of folks I have spoken with. I find that quite odd and cannot quite wrap my head around that one.

Do you still trust the FDA?

those of us who believe natural remedies have a major role in overall health, as well as lifestyle choices, receive a fair amount of criticism when we call out the who and the fda and faucci and any medical organization for pushing synthetic, patented substances on the populace when we have everything we already need just growing around us.

that doesn’t seem fair, especially when just a few days ago the fda pressured amazon to stop selling any products containing nac, even though the product has been sold for 57 years with no issues.

why would the fda take a sudden interest in, and legal action against nac?

Isn't it something that in some places in the US they are talking about legalizing many illegal/recreational drugs that cause deaths, heartache, social problems, etc.. for so many yet want to control drugs/herbs/amino acids that can actually help people with their health & wellness issues? Follow the money.

If you don't know home remedies you may want to start learning how to use kitchen cabinet herbs/spices and grow what you can or find in the wild. Stock up on what you can't make at home.

Remember the thalidomide babies? doctors pushed that drug too, those of us who are reluctant and rare users of the modern western medical world are the 'nut jobs'.

i think she has the happiest laugh i’ve ever heard!.

I personally do not like her stand on abortion (to not give aid to a living attempted aborted baby should be repugnant to all in my opinion) (as well as selling baby parts, which is actually illegal and which she apparently finds no issue with) she is an &*(&^% so and so. ;

On abortion, Harris has voted against every pro-life piece of legislation she could, including bills with bipartisan support.

For example, earlier this year she voted against the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Act, which would have protected unborn babies from abortion procedures after the point at which they can feel pain (20 weeks).

Harris also voted against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would have required doctors present during a failed abortion -- an abortion that results in the birth of a living infant -- to provide the same level of care that would be offered to any other baby at the same stage of development.

Harris voted against Pain-Capable in 2018 and Born Alive in 2019 as well. She also voted against the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act that would have codified the Hyde Amendment and prohibited abortion coverage in Obamacare.

i just turned 62 and celebrated my first birthday at a local restaurant.

Woken, I have been asking that same question for years! Asked my jw about numerous time in the past and just get a deer in the headlights look in answer.

Time Indefinite

from a very young age, i was always annoyed by this translation time indefinite simply means: time that has not been defined.

where the new world translation uses "time indefinite", other translations use "everlasting" and "eternal".

honestly, it makes much more sense to me "everlasting" and "eternal" as "time indefinite" would leave room for god to define that time later on.

John 6:68 Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

John 10:28-30 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.

1 John 5:13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.

Many scriptures regarding eternal life refer to Jesus and the wt doesn't have much use for Him, in my opinion.

Also just because they like to be different. Time is construct for man not God.

sometimes jws wonder if the wt/jw is not the truth, 'then where else are we to go?

The comment, "you are still at it" was meant that you were still going door to door so to speak trying to convince people of your belief system, whatever that may be at the moment. Yes, I am well aware that jw's believe in a god and then they also have their bigger god jehovah. But in their minds they still only have one. I guess math isn't their strong point.
