This isn't easy.This year (about 3 weeks ago) I woke up on my birthday to NO cards, NO presents and NO phone calls. Says a lot. Thing is - being brought up a Dub, real people are conditioned to never acknowledging you.

House Swapping

my wife and i are looking into house swapping during our vacation?
we looked into swapping our home for a home in uk, ireland, spain and germany, for approx 2 weeks, some of the people on there seem nice, just wanted some feedback on it.

I had a friend that did this every year - always swapped for a home in America for a fortnight. I think there's a website that hosts pictures of (the inside of) your house for swappers to view. All her holiday swaps were successful.

My first blood donation
by sass_my_frass in... has been scheduled.
i've been to the clinic to watch mr frass donate, and it was pretty confronting.
still i've realised that if i'm happy with taking blood, i should be happy to give it too, so i'm going to become a donor.

Were your parents a different religion before JDubism?
by Crumpet ini know an awful lot here are 3rd and 4th generation - but were there any who's parents become dubs as adults?
i'd be interested to here what it was that made an adult become a jw when not brought up that way?.
i'll relate my parents experience shortly...but its something i;ve been thinking about a lot.
