All Dub Weddings I'm aware of, the 'guests' have contributed plates of sandwiches/vol au vents/sausage rolls for the 'Reception'. Are they THAT poor, or just 'cheap?

Name Things JWs Try To "Demonize"
by minimus inthe witnesses are always trying to scare the faithful by telling them that if they don't adhere to the teachings and lifestyle of the brotherhood-----that bad things are going to happen to them.
for example, they might tell you of brother regret who left the "truth", had "fun" in the "world" and then got aids.
now he's back in the "truth" but he only has months to live................can you think of other examples of how the witnesses try to spook the rank and file?

I used to hear stories of Demons 'attaching' themselves to things in peoples homes (why on Earth WOULD THEY?) - and if you 'acquired' anything from a dubious house, it could possibly have a an Evil Spirit attached. It's quite funny really.

Buying second - hand goods if you didn't know who had previously owned them used to spook quite a few in our hall
That's bloody ridiculous - is it just a US thing? Does that mean all Dubs have to buy NEW CARS? What about buying a house?

I don't know whether to laugh or cry - it's unbelievable what they churn out. If I attended one of these 'upbuilding gatherings' I'd need alcohol as an anaesthetic.

Dansk - I believe we all dream 4 times per night. It's something we need to do. If we're deprived of sleep for a long time, we begin to go through the same sleep cycle while awake - and hallucinate.

I do this on occassion. It's amazing and quite tiring. There's a theory that it's an OBE (out of body) experience. After experiencing several in the same week, I turned around and 'physically' walked out of one as I was too tired for another.
I thoroughly recommend, although a work of fiction, the novel ''NOBODY TRUE'' by James Herebrt.
