i have finally got grandma to agree to seeing her grandchild , and hubby does not want it , he thinks that if she cant be bothered to make time for her then i should not chase it up , this is his mother , im not a dub , i can see his point but think it important to try and keep in contact .

That struck me too!....if you think she hasn't been seeing your child because of pressure from Elders (as she can't visit your home and there's no way you should allow a minor alone with her - or any dub), then she is going to be in a very difficult position if she DOES visit. If she really HAS to think twice between having her own grandchild in her life or upsetting her Cult leaders, then that speaks volumes.

the wts has sent a letter to all convention overseers expressing their increasing concern at sisters "directing brothers" at district conventions.. with immediate effect (ie for dc 2008), sisters are no longer to be used as volunteers in parking and security / watchman departments.
any sisters volunteering in other departments (eg toilet cleaning) must be subordinate & follow the direction of appointed brothers.
this move will put a huge burden on the dcs in my area - nearly half the volunteers for parking are sisters and there aren't enough volunteers as it is.
The brothers took our purses to a corner away from us...The brothers all looked over us like we were going to steal something.
