JWs cannot make ''mistakes'' because, whereas the rest of the World could possibly misinterpret the Bible, they alone are inspired...(and arrogant)...

I'm still miffed at the 'medical directive' (or whatever it's called) that JWs are expected to give consent for their medical records to be available to the HLC/Elders - what a pointless joke (I know who'd I prefer to check my notes, and it isn't a part-time window cleaner, lol). As for the above story, a typical JW yarn - no names mentioned, no details, yet they STILL believe it - where do they get this stuff? Or is it churned out by the WT fiction dept? If anything like that was true they'd want it splattered all over the papers, exalting THEM not God.
with the talk lately of the bone pointers snooping on facebook, etc....and the fact that they do sniff out this board.... do you think they actually register and participate here...or just read and try to figure out locations, familiar sounding scenerios, etc.
to try to pinpoint people?.
do you think any of these snoops have ever blended in as "one of the gang" to lure information from people?.
I think IF there are ''spies'' here, then they would register as the forums they'd want to read (personal) are visible to members only...?

I was told - about 3 years ago - by a JW who claimed to be 'of the anointed' that the Anointed all possess 'gifts'. He went on to tell me that some had the gift to HEAL, some the gift of PROPHESY and his was the gift of INTERPRETATION. Delusional.

My whole life all I've wanted is peace. Now I have my mother telling me I have to hold on to "Jehovah's Organization" so I can see my brother again. Think how disappointed he would be if I wasn't there.
I bet there's not many here who haven't had THAT one pulled (I know I have)! It doesn't seem to matter what you want or believe - our families would rather we ''pretend'' just to make THEM happy (and not put them in a position where they may have to shun) at end of the day. Just fear.

really people, most witnesses do not read the magazines.
i can say that because i go to the meetings, i go in service, i have been a witness all my life.
i have been in english, spanish, and sign language congregations.
Because it's the only reliable source they trust..?

rebel8 - voluntary charity workers (UK) claim expenses - as while we donate our 'time' free, out of pocket expenses, eg petrol, are covered by charity donations. It's always concerned me that the WT wants the charity status, yet not the liability.
i was reading the thread of how an elder parent was snooping on his daughter's facebook.. i believe that many jws, not just elders probably snoop around to see what some witnesses are doing, whether they be inactive, disassociated or active.. do you think jws "snoop" on the internet or if they have access to your computer, do you think they'll try to uncover something about you?.
I don't 'do' any social networking sites, but I believe you can set options so just your 'friends' can see (eg, your pictures) ?
