I haven't had an invite yet. I'm getting worried I've been overlooked.

Who has had this year's invitation personally delivered by elders?
by biometrics inhad two elders personally visit me today to deliver the rejection of christ memorial invitation.
they were hanging around the front gate for a while because our dog (labrador) woudn't let them in.. my wife let them in the yard / house.
when they asked if i'd be going i smiled and said "thank you for the invitation", then quickly changed the subject.

Put it (the bag of dog cr*p) on their doorstep and set it alight - then ring their doorbell (and run away). They'll answer door, see a bag on fire on their doorstep and instinctively stomp on it to put it out. Old but classic.

Here's a "press release" written by an anonymous source that can be sent to the media about the thinner magazines

It never gained converts, and it no longer produces income. But it is still important as a control mechanism.
True. Yet I bet JWs would disagree. I know JWs who have 'placed the magazines' with the same people for many years (20+), and those people have no intention of ever converting. Yet they are part of the 'magazine route'. They're classed as 'interested ones' (lol). A neighbour of mine has the magazines just because they don't like saying no (and I bet that's not uncommon).

I recall the when the book study ceased. It was announced on here some weeks prior to the official announcements at KHs. I told one (very active) JW about the upcoming announcement and they responded something like 'that would never happen, they'd never stop the book study' and dismissed it. On the day of the announcement, that JW knew what was coming (and told me afterwards).
Imagine if every JW in every congregation knew all these 'top secret' announcements a few weeks ahead of time?

I wonder how JWs would react gaining this information from a 'Worldly' source prior to its official 'release' from God's own organisation..?

Blimey - and as a 'youth' I was taught the C of E is the biggest landowner in England - storing up treasures on Earth (while the Watchtower is a pauper). English JWs, I'm sure, won't be aware of the WT's 'property' in USA. Funny how they're ok about profiting from 'Worldly' people, while at the same time condemning them.

My Letter to local Newspapaer - Your Feedback Please?
by cofty inmy local congregation has been in the news this week following a successful application for planning permission for a quick build.
a local vicar objected because the application described it as a building for "christain worship".. .
vicar fury at new home for jehovahs .

Love it Cofty - good luck! Pointing out the d'fing and subsequent shunning certainly supports Rev Knox's statement of 'not Christian' and hopefully, when your letter is published, readers will be able to see this.

WOULD THE WATCHTOWER ACCEPT A LARGE FINANCIAL BEQUEST FROM A DISFELLOWSHIPPED JW'S ESTATE?
by steve2 ini ransacked entire dusty volumes of watchtowers in search of an answer to this vexing question.
imagine that a jw has been disfellowshipped for apostasy .
would the watchtower accept such bequests?.

Why not 'test the water' - I'm sure some brave soul can contact the WT and state they ''wish to leave their property to a charity - the WT being their first choice, because, although they were disfellowshipped 3 years ago for apostacy/something unforgivable, they would like to name the WT despite never intending to return and would this acceptable..?''

Upon studying 'The Midwich Cuckoos' at school, a classmate remarked that I must be a Midwich Cuckoo as I have yellow eyes. It stuck throughout Grammar School.
