It is tomorrow, Thursday.
Thanks Shipper - I only found out yesterday (another non-JW source). I originally thought it was Friday as I believe that's the next full moon.

do i have this right?.
jw are to be completely obedient to the fds.
they are not to question, speak against the teachings of, or disobey the fds.. however, the fds's teachings change and many past teachings are now seen as incorrect.. still, though, jws are to completely and unquestionably obey all teachings of the fds, no matter if they personally believe such are wrong or if they carry severe consequenses.. .
It's exciting being a JW, because you don't know what your beliefs will be from week to week.
it's this week, folks.
i thought i might give you a new thread to vent on.
many on our forum still go to the memorial or have to answer to family about not going.
I've posted on other thread - no invite here. I'm gutted.
after the little skit at the last assembly where one brother was asking another for understanding about the generation teaching i thought, "wow, these people will believe anything the watchtower tells them.
" the 'more mature brother' practically said verbatim everything the watchtower said as his explanation.
evidently, this is one of the sources of the increased 'murmuring' that the talked warned against.. so, has anyone brought this up to their witness friends and/or family?
DAD: They don't know everything and are trying to do what they are told to do- don't think you can outsmart the Governing Body - i know I can'tI'd have been gobsmacked by that a few years ago. Not now. I've only mentioned it once to a JW, and they responded that they always believed in overlapping generations. Eh? Yes, that they were the same generation as their parents as their lives overlapped.
I haven't even had an invite!! Not from *my* JW, and I haven't been called on - yet I saw the JWs in my road last week. Is it tomorrow or Friday?
so, this a long story but i'll try to keep it short.
this was about 2years ago,.
my wife brought up the un thing to my parents, much to their horror and despite me advising her not to.
Has this happened to any one else?
Similar. It was a few years back when I mentioned it to a visiting JW. They told me they'd get back to me. They did. They (said that they'd) telephoned a relative in Bethel/Brooklyn (we live in England) and the answer was that it wasn't the Society, but a private individual (unbeknownst to the WTS) who had joined the library for personal use.
i use usualusername as i am not creative enough to think of anything sexier.... .
what significance is there behind your profile name?.
.
Mine is my nickname from when I was at grammar school. A friend commented I have yellow coloured eyes so must be a Midwich Cuckoo.
had two elders personally visit me today to deliver the rejection of christ memorial invitation.
they were hanging around the front gate for a while because our dog (labrador) woudn't let them in.. my wife let them in the yard / house.
when they asked if i'd be going i smiled and said "thank you for the invitation", then quickly changed the subject.
I haven't had an invite yet. I'm getting worried I've been overlooked.
today is my first time seeing a bag of dog poop on my yard.
i do not know who did it but i picked it up and i put it in the febreze trash bag then i threw it in my garbage can.
if i will ever find out who did it, what should i do?
Put it (the bag of dog cr*p) on their doorstep and set it alight - then ring their doorbell (and run away). They'll answer door, see a bag on fire on their doorstep and instinctively stomp on it to put it out. Old but classic.

jehovah's witnesses to reduce pages in watchtower & awake!
magazines.
It never gained converts, and it no longer produces income. But it is still important as a control mechanism.
True. Yet I bet JWs would disagree. I know JWs who have 'placed the magazines' with the same people for many years (20+), and those people have no intention of ever converting. Yet they are part of the 'magazine route'. They're classed as 'interested ones' (lol). A neighbour of mine has the magazines just because they don't like saying no (and I bet that's not uncommon).
