I'm actually not sure what either of those items are, lol, just seems an odd combination. In fact, the only time I can recall a reference to cornbread is in the film 'Aliens' (anyone else remember the line..?)
Oh, and congrats at being preggers at your age Snowbird, lol.

Bacon grease and corn bread..? Are you 'with child'..?
my wife and i just visited some friends over the weekend from another congregation.
these two are both full time pioneers, and also participate in various construction projects around the country.
the husband just got back from a 3 week trip to walkill, new york to help with construction on a new residence building at 'the farm' (does anyone call it that anymore?)..
Maybe they'll allow local underpriveledged kids to use these facilities. I'm not familiar with area (being English) but I imagine like most 'inner cities' there are areas of extreme hardship.
...and no, I'm not serious, I don't think for one minute that the WT would give anything (apart from trashy mags) to the local community, whereas I bet other Christian Religions would open their doors for the benefit of the community.
boy am i glad we are not witnesses anymore.
my son is having two large cysts removed tomarrow, they are in sort of a delicate area.
because of where they are located, the potential for heavy blood loss is high.
Wishing your son a speedy recovery!

NO! I will never understand how an organisation allows children to make such a life long commitment, when they haven't had enough life experience to know what it entails.
Because it's the only way the Organisation can 'secure' its future really. Imagine what would happen if the WTBTS followed Jesus and Baptised at 30...? The business Religion would collapse. I was Baptised as a minor...and later than 'my JW' wanted/expected.
i've been playing around with this strategy for awhile.
how could i crack the defenses and get a jw to read crisis of conscience, captive to a concept, etc., or just some reasoning points in general on blood, 1914, the history of the wt organization?
i want to help my brothers and sisters, i am still inside for a while longer and feel like i need to do something more tangible.. so i was thinking that if a flash drive was "accidentally" left on the ground in the parking lot.
Mad Sweeney - How can you say that no one in the Borg would read apostate literature WHEN ALL OF US DID?
I was going to suggest the likelihood of the right /random Congregation member finding and looking is slim (and if they did, they'd hand it in to Elders thinking it to be a 'trap' - as they are brainwashed in believing that Satan will try any means etc etc) - it being more likely that a child would find it. BUT, as you pointed out Mad Sweeney, I bet many of us stumbled upon this site by chance (I know I did, and although I'd long since stopped attending Meetings, I never really justified myself leaving the Org...until I accidently found this site while looking for something somewhat unrelated).
malawi savage betrayal by watchtower?
today i uploaded a new article presenting information about why jehovahs witnesses in malawi suffered brutal persecution compared to what watchtowers top leadership was doing at the exact same time.
the article is titled malawi savage betrayal by watchtower?
For years after WW2, they tried to suggest that JWs were persecuted for their religion in Germany, while Jews were only imprisoned for being of the Jewish race.
That's what I heard as a child - that Jews never had a choice of being persecuted, but JWs 'chose' to be by refusing to denounce their 'Faith'. Hasn't the WTBTS even tried to benefit from individual JWs who died..?
