Personally, I believe that the WTS is straight from the pits of Hell. Therefore, I would urge anyone who wishes to accept Jesus Christ according to the scriptures to renounce the JW religion and get baptised by submersion in a traditional Christian church in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

LESSONS FROM HISTORY

Doug Mason,
What a load of WTS rubbish!! Whenever someone tries to calculate dates and time periods by applying unfounded "Biblical rules", that is a dead give away that they are speaking junk theology. Remember, "No on knows the day or the hour", which is God's way of telling us that we can't calculate any dates.
WAKE UP!!! The WTS is NOT God's channel of communication.

March 4th Public Talk....''Satan and Demons use many traps to stumble us.''
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthe public talk was how satan uses his demons to stumble us.satan knows where we live, work and what we do at work and home.his demons use television, music, the internet, movies, sex and apostates to stumble faithful jehovah's witnesses.. the "spiritually weak" are what the demons look for because they can be attacked so easily.these are the ones who don't have studies with their families, watch too much television,go on the internet looking at apostate sites, brothers and sisters who are obsessed with sex, taking too many vacations, the love of money and all the pleasures of this world.that is why the wts loose so many members each year.. what they never tell you the real reason why most members leave are:,.
lack of love,elders as judges arrangment,inconstistency in teachings,1914 generation change,theological dishonesty,scholastic ineptitude,favoritism within the boe,hypocrisy, and false prophesies.. .

"WBT$ accept profits from tobbaco and the US Navy" where did u get that from OUTLAW? new one on me
I heard about the Navy, but I didn't know about tobbaco. Someone donated stock in a company that makes tank parts (or something like that) for the Navy to the WTS. I believe they still own the stock. I saw the official documents on the Securities and Exchange Commission website.
Here's some more info taken from JWO - Kingdom Hall - 10 Problems I have with the WTS: Stock Ownership in Rand Engine Corp: Between the years of at least 1996-2002 the WTB&TS owned a substantial portion of stock (5,073,200 shares of Class A common stock) in Rand Cam Engine Corp, and a company known as REGI U.S. Inc (see Security and Exchange Commission file No. 0-23920 for REGI U.S., Inc. for fiscal year ended April 30, 2002 and Amendment No. 2 to Form SB-2 Registration Statement under The Securities Act of 1933 dated June 1992 for REGI U.S. Inc.). Rand Cam Engine Corp. owns a substantial portion of Rand Energy Group Inc. All of these companies perform research and development of engine technologies which have military and other applications. All of these companies seek out and have individually or collectively acquired contracts with, as an example, the US Navy (USN contract SBIR No1-144, announced on 12-6-01) to provide these goods and services they specialize in. I have a big problem with this. I don’t care how the WTB&TS obtained this stock, if it was a gift or they purchased it with money from donations, they should not have owned it or received the financial benefits of ownership in the stock. These companies serve the military with methods of armament, and make a profit doing it. That’s fine. Just don’t sermonize against the military and warfare, and then take financial advantage from it. -

That's scary. Why would they need a book on the occult, when God clearly says to stay away from such?

So, are you in a "regular" church now?

Sounds like the bloke that claimed he'd found Noah's Ark in the Turkish mountains.
A few bones and a chariot wheel and that means that god parted the red sea????????????
If your faith is bolstered by such utterly flimsy evidence i think it's time for a slap!!
My oh my.
Hey, it works for the evolution theory.
Seriously, I'm a devout believer and even I think this guy was a scam. I read somewhere that his find was proven fake. I'll see if I can find that article.

What prophecies were "downright wrong"?
Ever heard of "this generation (not the 1914 one) shall not pass before all these things (including the final coming of the 'Son of Man') occur"?I believe that the above interpretation is incorrect. Jesus was answering 2 different questions when he made that statement. Read Matthew 24 real good from a Bible other than the NWT, preferably the NIV, NASB or some other modern translation. In Matt. 24:3, we see the 2 questions that were asked of Jesus: "When will these things happen (meaning the temple destroyed, see v. 2) and "What will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age"? Then Jesus proceeds by telling the disciples the signs of the end of the age and his 2nd coming. You know the drill on this, wars and rumors of wars, famine, etc. However the "this generation" part of his answer applies to both of the questions. The generation that Jesus lived in did not pass away before the 2nd temple was destroyed, thus fulfilling the prophecy of v. 2. Likewise the generation that sees all of the events (wars, famine, etc.) will not pass away before Jesus returns.

How often should the Lord's Supper be celebrated per year
by avidbiblereader ini have always had a problem with this from the scriptures, i understand the old law and replacing the passover but those laws did not apply to the new covenant and my question centers around pauls words to the 1 cor 11.
1 cor 11:17-20 .
17but, while giving these instructions, i do not commend you because it is, not for the better, but for the worse that you meet together.18for first of all, when you come together in a congregation, i hear divisions exist among you; and in some measure i believe it.19for there must also be sects among you, that the persons approved may also become manifest among you.

There is nothing in the Bible that states a specific time to take, communion, the eucharists, the Lord's Supper, or whatever your religion calls it. Based upon my research the early Christian church took the Lord's Supper every week. Here are some enlightening quotes from Justin Martyr from the 2nd century:
The following were taken from an apology of Justin Martyr (A.D. 110–165). Martyr is an early church father of the Christian religion. http://www.ccel.org/ccel/schaff/anf01.viii.ii.lxvii.html
Chapter LXVII.—Weekly worship of the Christians.
And we afterwards continually remind each other of these things. And the wealthy among us help the needy; and we always keep together; and for all things wherewith we are supplied, we bless the Maker of all through His Son 186 Jesus Christ, and through the Holy Ghost. And on the day called Sunday,1913 all who live in cities or in the country gather together to one place, and the memoirs of the apostles or the writings of the prophets are read, as long as time permits; then, when the reader has ceased, the president verbally instructs, and exhorts to the imitation of these good things. Then we all rise together and pray, and, as we before said, when our prayer is ended, bread and wine and water are brought, and the president in like manner offers prayers and thanksgivings, according to his ability,1914 and the people assent, saying Amen; and there is a distribution to each, and a participation of that over which thanks have been given,1915 and to those who are absent a portion is sent by the deacons. And they who are well to do, and willing, give what each thinks fit; and what is collected is deposited with the president, who succours the orphans and widows and those who, through sickness or any other cause, are in want, and those who are in bonds and the strangers sojourning among us, and in a word takes care of all who are in need. But Sunday is the day on which we all hold our common assembly, because it is the first day on which God, having wrought a change in the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Saviour on the same day rose from the dead. For He was crucified on the day before that of Saturn (Saturday); and on the day after that of Saturn, which is the day of the Sun, having appeared to His apostles and disciples, He taught them these things, which we have submitted to you also for your consideration.

Justin Martyr's apology on the Eucharist (Holy Bread and Wine):
http://www.ccel.org/ccel/schaff/anf01.viii.ii.lxv.html
Chapter LXV.—Administration of the sacraments.
But we, after we have thus washed him who has been convinced and has assented to our teaching, bring him to the place where those who are called brethren are assembled, in order that we may offer hearty prayers in common for ourselves and for the baptized [illuminated] person, and for all others in every place, that we may be counted worthy, now that we have learned the truth, by our works also to be found good citizens and keepers of the commandments, so that we may be saved with an everlasting salvation. Having ended the prayers, we salute one another with a kiss.1908 There is then brought to the president of the brethren1909 bread and a cup of wine mixed with water; and he taking them, gives praise and glory to the Father of the universe, through the name of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, and offers thanks at considerable length for our being counted worthy to receive these things at His hands. And when he has concluded the prayers and thanksgivings, all the people present express their assent by saying Amen. This word Amen answers in the Hebrew language to ? ? ???t? [so be it]. And when the president has given thanks, and all the people have expressed their assent, those who are called by us deacons give to each of those present to partake of the bread and wine mixed wit h water over which the thanksgiving was pronounced, and to those who are absent they carry away a portion. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter LXVI.—Of the Eucharist.
And this food is called among us ? ? ?a??st ? a1910 [the Eucharist], of which no one is allowed to partake but the man who believes that the thi ngs which we teach are true, and who has been washed with the washing that is for the remission of sins, and unto regeneration, and who is so living as Christ has enjoined. For not as common bread and common drink do we receive these; but in like manner as Jesus Christ our Saviour, having been made flesh by the Word of God, had both flesh and blood for our salvation, so likewise have we been taught that the food which is blessed by the prayer of His word, and from which our blood and flesh by transmutation are nourished, is the flesh and blood of that Jesus who was made flesh.1911 For the apostles, in the memoirs composed by them, which are called Gospels, have thus delivered unto us what was enjoined upon them; that Jesus took bread, and when He had given thanks, said, “This do ye in remembrance of Me,1912 this is My body;” and that, after the same manner, having taken the cup and given thanks, He said, “This is My blood;” and gave it to them alone. Which the wicked devils have imitated in the mysteries of Mithras, commanding the same thing to be done. For, that bread and a cup of water are placed with certain incantations in the mystic rites of one who is being initiated, you either know or can learn.
