why does daniel specifically use the word 'times' rather than years?
as we have already shown daniel used the word for 7 times instead of 7 years.

Where else can I laugh and cry? I'm pretty much an open book. I have no secrets here. I get called on my shit, when I need to be, even though I may not like it. I know I'm not alone. I've gotten more from this place than all the shrinks I saw for many years. I learned how to "play" their game and tell them what they wanted to hear. Here, it's not that easy. We all know how the games are played.
I honestly don't know where I'd be without this place. It's my therapist, sometimes my NA meeting when I feel like using, my family,...................and more important, my friends!

i looked up, and it was 2 jws i used to know eons ago.
they were genuinely nice people, some of the few jws in my cong that weren't horribly mean to me.

I have to agree with what Scully said. I had the unfortunate experience of going up against an employee that was a jw and she got a job in public relations. She was there to give the inside scoop to the HLC. We went toe to toe when I helped the hospital get custody in order to get blood to a toddler that would have died. They have their motives and I wouldn't trust any of them. That is a high rish group to work with. Especially if your a jw. You can't just go and excuse yourself from every case that comes in that requires blood.

What Kinds of Weird Things were you banned from or not allowed as a child?
by mama1119 ini could not have a big new kids on the block pin, or wear any new kids on the block pins in puplic becuase it was considered idolatry.
i also could not wear my shoes without laces (it was cool back then) because it looked wordly.
what other strange theings besides the usual holiday/birthday stuff weren't you allowed to do?

My favorite Andy Gibbs poster got torn off the wall. Yes, I know, I'm getting old!That really shows my age! Got my mood ring taken away. Always was in trouble for having one button too many unbuttoned!And forget the makeup!! Took forever to get my ears pierced, and then no showy earrings allowed! I'm sure I'll think of more. Thought of one. When I had to get glasses, even though the lights hurt my eyes, I wasn't allowed to have them tinted. Made me look to worldly and druggy.
