I've been thinking about you this evening!! Glad you didn't have to deal with them. But, the important thing is that you were able to really talk with your son, and find out now where his head is at!! I'm glad you can get him help now!!

Guess who's coming over Monday night!!

i have been df'ed about a year now, they said my dad was wondering why no one was stoppping by to see me.
it was really hard cause i grew up with these guys and i know they are good guys.

I've already told this one. One of the posters on the board actually knew this "brother" after he moved away.
Brother B, an elder and P.O, for awhile was having an affair with a "sister" my age. ( about 17 at the time) He was doing this with the blessing of his wife. She was teaching her, actually "grooming" her, to take her (the wife's) place, should anything happen to her. It was a big mess. He was df'd for a very short time and moved away to SW Missouri.
The only other one I know of was me. I snapped when I found out I had to attend another elder's meeting. (got ratted out by above "sister") This was for "riding around with a boy from school". I was tired of me stepdad sneaking into my bed, drunk. So I parked their vehicle at the local KH, and disappeared. My biological dad's family hid me out for 2 weeks until I caught a bus to Texas. During this time I started seeing my "first" love. We'd be riding around in bumper-to-bumper cars on the main drag, only a cars-length away from my stepdad and an elder (above elder), and they'd never see me. It was like divine intervention!! But the gossip ran rampant at that time!

Help ... Any handy men/women out there
by looking_glass inmy microwave is not heating up food.
it activates and everything seems to work, but it does not heat anything up.
i have taken out the panel underneath to see if anything is leaking or wires hanging out or exposed and nothing.

Hello Im new

i was born into a jw family in 1981. i spent my child hood not only going to every meeting but also in a home schooling program ran by some of the congregation folks with children.
extremely cut off from the world to say the least.

Welcome to the board!! There are some success stories of some getting their families out. I'm blessed as all of my sibling are out!!
You said you'd probably read more than post, that's ok. Just do what makes you comfortable. But know that we would like to hear from you. We're also here if you need a shoulder, or just need to rant.

JWs on Friends Reunited
by solo infor those who have not heard of it friends reunited is a web site where you can look up you old schools and and see what all your old school mates are doing, you can post your own profile and let everyone else know what you are doing.
well i have checked out several schools where i know jws went and have found several of them have posted there, some of them have also included their profile to let everyone know what they have done since leaving school, jobs, where they have moved to and if you got married and had kids.. however, not one single one of them has stated that they are jws???
isn't this supposed to be the most important thing in their life, would it not merit a mention, surely they are not ashamed, wouldn't it be a good opportunity to witness?
