Do you think JWs know what apostates really are?
by KateWild inmy friend was slagging off one of my other friends saying they have been known to say apotate things.
she does apostate things herself without realising it.
she meant well because she fears the word apostate as i once did, but she openly says to me my jc was lacking in holy spirit.. she doesn't have a clue what apostacy really is she just wants me not to mix with ones who have been known said "apostate things".

When you read paragraph 16, you realize only a completely and throuroughly indoctrinated person could accept such diatribe and see it as "the truth." It just pains me to the max to think my son is an elder in this BS of a religion and accepts it hook, line and sinker. At least my two daughters got out and see it for what it is.

Why hasn`t / doesn`t the "TRUE GOD" clarify his " GODSHIP" between the JEWS , the CHRISTIANS and the MUSLIMS.
by smiddy init has been about 2000 years since jesus walked the earth and has been hailed as the son of god by christians .. the jews refuse to acknowledge jesus as the son of god.. the muslims recognise jesus as only a prophet .. their are billions of christians earth wide.
their are at least a billion muslims world wide.
i`m sorry i dont know how many jews their are world wide ( please add the 6 million who died in concentration camps ).

The more thought and reason one puts into the God question, the more obvious it becomes that there is no such being. One of the biggest indications for me that this is all hooey is that there is no credible instance of communication with this entity anywhere other than in old, antiquated texts.
For someone who wants everyone to fear, love and acknowledge his presense multiple times daily, he has done a lousy job of showing himself in a clear and concise way. Instead "he" had a bunch of bronze-aged Middle-Easterners cobble together stories and tales that had been floating around into various scrolls and parchments. Very little, if any, were written by eyewitnesses.
Then sometimes in the 3rd century AD he had a group of men with various religious points of view come together in several council and decide which of these scrolls were probably written under inspiration from the Most High and which ones were just good stories. Then they took the ones that fit the former designation and declared that to be Gods Word.
Catholic Bibles have 73 books, 46 in the Old Testament, and 27 in the New Testament. Protestant Bibles have 66 books with only 39 in the Old Testament. The books missing from Protestant Bibles are: Tobit, Judith, Baruch, Wisdom, Sirach, 1 and 2 Maccabees, and parts of Esther and Daniel. They are called the 'Deuterocanonicals' by Catholics and 'Apocrypha' by Protestants. Martin Luther, without any authority whatsoever, removed those seven books and placed them in an appendix during the reformation. They remained in the appendix of Protestant Bibles until about 1826, and then they were removed altogether.
Please be mindful of the fact that those seven books had been in Bibles used by all Christians from the very foundation of Christianity, until God decided many centuries later that these were not really his thoughts.
And this is the best commuication that this Almighty being can muster?

1st Time in 3 Years JW's call at our Door - Two 30 yr. long Time JW's
by flipper ini thought i was back on the jw radar after my jw daughter had a local elder call on me back in 2011 - but apparently not.
he obviously didn't let his elders know i lived here, no record was kept for posterity and just called my daughter telling her that her " dad has differences with the organization " because he never called back on me as he promised to talk again.
as i'm just inactive for 10 years.. so these two older jw ladys come knocking yesterday - one lady about 57 and the other lady older about 71 yrs.old ( i asked how long they had been jw's and told me they both have been in 30 years.

Stand For Pure Worship, what convinces you that the governing body is being used by Jehovah? Thanks.
by The Quiet One ini struggled with this question before i got baptised.
what helped you to overcome any doubts?.

JW's are basically just like Catholics except their College of Cardinals (Governing Body) claims that their teachings are solely based on the Bible. JW's don't really follow the Bible. They follow what the GB says the Bible says which, strangely, many Witnesses refuse to admit.

ELDERS STEPPING DOWN
by ADJUSTMENTS inbetween two congregations that i know of four elders have stepped down in the last two months!
there is something really going on in this mandmade organization!
it's busting at the seams!.

Do they now make a distingtion between stepping down and removed via the announcement? When I stepped down as a MS for about a year, they announced that "Brother Donny has been deleted as a Ministerial Servant." That irked me since it sounded like I had been removed without my consent.

I used to believe in God. After leaving the Witnesses I tried the "traditional" Christian route but soon discovered it was full of evidentiary data. I also realized that we humans seemed to always find a way to fit God into any situation. If someone was in a serious accident and suffered no harm, then God protected them. If they were seriously injured but survived then God was "not ready for them yet." If they died as a result of the accident then "God took them."
The more I looked at things objectively the more it showed that the world operates as it should if no supreme deity existed.
