  i am generally a confident, happy woman.

  i have good friends and family who laugh at my jokes, value my opinions and generally like me... and then once in a while, i come into contact with a person who makes me feel like a nobody.

  an overweight, unsuccessful, unintelligent nobody.

  I know the feeling, my Hubby has a Ford ton dually.... and with the price of diesel fuel at over $4.50 a gallon here, it costs him around $150 to fill it up.

  I have a small Olds, that he is constantly borrowing... it's kinda getting on my nerves...

  i just joined this forum today after reading the comments on today's watchtower (which i have to attend in about an hour unfortunately).

  i was raised in "the truth" and it was only recently that i began to listen to a close friend of mine as he pointed out the secrets and lies that is the watchtower society and governing body.

  even though he was informing me for almost a year, he never gave up on me.

  My insane JW friend takes me to lunch...

  yesterday, i get a call at work from my old jw buddy, who btw doesn't know my true feelings on religion.

  he offers to buy lunch so we go to a local burger joint, sit down, and start swapping stories like always.

  we see each other once or twice a week, share many common interests, and generally get along well.

  2 years ago, Roy left his wife, lost his MS position, started smoking, started carrying a gun, threatened 2 elders, and slept with at least 10 different women that I know of, and I know because I've met them and saw things that are better left unsaid

  Wow Sooner, your friend has been "Busy" to say the least.

  BS on everything he said, knowing that the JC he dealt with was made up of his friends.

  i'm writing this because of a conversation i had with a co-worker who made it plain that she is anti-gun, 'guns kill people', yada yada.

  she doesn't know that my gun is on me everyday, within just feet of her during the day, she still doesn't.

  i'm writing this because i have seen a trait that's common to the anti-gun crowd, and it's a scary one.
