  How do you pick just 5?

  It would be nice to meet so many.

  For the comraderie... or the debate.

  knowing that you can communicate what you are thinking and not worry that you will be "turned in" or "ratted out".

  I agree with Logic&Reason....

  There's no way I could just pick a few.

  I've laughed, cried, cheered, congratulated, sent support, hurt and worried with just about everyone of you, over the years.

  Everyone here is unique and adds a special something to the board...

  as i was born in i have no experience of this...

  when you were studying do you remember coming up against things you questioned?

  did you ask your study conductor and what responses did you get?

  I became a witness at the age of 28...

  Before baptism, I studied off and on for two years, back then they were like a dog with a bone...

  I questioned everything but, not having the internet, and no real Bible knowledge...most things I just excepted after awhile.

  The one thing we rangled about the most was the scripture about "can kill the body, but not the soul" (or something like that). I finally just let it go.

  I was so gullable back then.

  Survival of Human Consciousness Beyond Death

  to anyone's knowledge, has there been any scientific research into the question of whether human consciousness can survive beyond death?

  i am referring to research studies conducted by neurologists, neuro-biologists, and neuro-physiologists.

  as far as i know, reputable scientific studies feature such factors as control groups.

  dear friends,.

  much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.

  however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

  This spring wasn't the best for me personally and didn't feel like doing something I truly love and enjoy, but things are seeming on the upswing now and I have flowers to enjoy.

  what does being a parent mean to you? my definition

  being a parent means asking for the wing out of the kentucky fried chicken basket just because you want your family to get the best pieces.. .

  being a parent means watching traffic through your side mirrors and your child through the rear view mirror of your car because your afraid she'll cough on her crackers or even just bob her head to the music and you don't want to miss it.

  it means getting light headed blowing up a whole house full of balloons just because it will make her smile.. .

  For me...

  When they were little, it meant giving of myself 100%, round the clock. As they grew, the things they needed changed.

  Parents have to adapt as time goes on. Little by little as they mature, you have to learn to let go... the hardest part..

  But, when they learn to fly... you can stand back and watch..........Your Heart bursting with "Pride"

  They stole my heart when they were born, they will always have it...

  (this thread makes me cry, in a good way...)
