  I'm ashamed to say it but yes, as a teenager I once or twice felt all fuzzy and self righteous while singing at the assembly, slap me if you like.

  Does Smoking Cause Your Teeth To Drop Out?

  sat last night with 3 smokers in their 50's.

  all were complaining about their teeth and how they were becoming very loose and how many had all ready lost several teeth by dint of them literally just becoming loose and then falling out.. englishman.

  Both my grandparents were in their late 80s when they died, both had been heavy smokers since their 20s and both were as fit as a fiddle (well for oldies anyway).

  Premonition Dreams?

  I did once dream about my grandad all night, my friend who I was shareing a room with at the time and who was a bit of a witch couldn't sleep at all that night.

  The next morning she got a phone call to say her grandad had died in the night.

  If I could go back and change my life I wouldn't, even the horrible bits because the end results might be worse than what I have now, and I am happy now so what would be the point?

  i used to know a boy who brought sandwiches to school for lunch that were made of fudge w/ pecans on white bread!

  JWS leading a double life

  do you know (or have you ever known) of apparently loyal or even fanatical jws that lead a double life?

  they may appear godly and obedient but in secret they bend the rules eg by fornication, cheating etc

  Is this shunning?

  its a long story but basically i was having a bible study with my half sister, i hadn't had a lot to do with her during my childhood so studying was for me an excuse to get to know her, and she was lovely, she couldn't do enough to help me, until i stopped going to the meetings and told her i didn't want to study anymore, then she dropped me like a brick and now refuses to speak to me at all.. shortly after this happened our younger brother started to study with her son, my brother needed somewhere to stay so they offered for him to move in with them which he did.. he became quite engrossed in his studies, they encouraged him to stop associating with his worldly friends which he did, he became an unbaptized publisher, but still they didnt really associate much with him, even my sisters 2 sons who live in the same house as him and are the same age group didn't bother much with him, so my brother found himself quite isolated, and ofcourse i'm bad association so he was always told not to visit me.. anyway, due to all this hes missed a few meetings recently, not many but just enough for them to tell him that hes got till september 7th to leave, giving the reason that hes not making enough of an effort to serve jehovah.. what do you all think?.

  is this typical behaviour of jehovahs witnesses, or are my family really messed up??

  Can I just add - my Jehovahs Witness mum has just phoned me and asked me to let my brother move back in with me.

  This comes just a few months after she was telling my brother to stay away from me as I'm bad association, and asking me not to contact him, to leave him to serve Jehovah without interfering.

  Now she wants me to take him in.

  i wanted to share this recent incident and it really pi$$es me off.

  i called my grandfather yesterday who is a believing but inactive jw due to health reasons.

  he is 83 and in very poor health and is alone since his wife died 3 years ago.

  Can You Still Find JW's On School Reunion Boards?

  a couple of years back, i checked out every jw and ex-jw i remembered to see if they were posting here, the biggest and best known school reunion site in the uk:.

  i found about 8 or 9 from all over the country who would be of a similar age to me.
