Do JWs give you the creeps?
by sonnyboy ini'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but i've recently begun to get the willies when i'm around an active jehovah's witness.
this didn't happen until after i started posting here.. when i stop by my parents' house on a saturday morning and the witnoids show up, i get a sinking feeling in my stomach....a mix between sickness, fear, and anger.
i used to try and put on a happy face and be sociable when they came in, but now i just wave goodbye and as i'm walking out.

They don't give me the creeps but they do make me feel like banging my head against a wall, some though, like dfed, just make me laugh.

Why isn't the bible clear and precise about everything?
by JH inwhy didn't god make the bible more clear?
there wouldn't be thousands of different religions around the world, and people killing one another in the name of god.
why didn't god make the bible clearer, and easy even for even the dummest person to understand?

The bible was written by so many different people that it would be very difficult for it not to have some contradictions.
I don't believe it was inspired of god, if it were then I'm sure he would have made it a whole lot simpler for us to understand, especially when our lives would depend on it.

I'll watch anything, apart from horror because I'm still scared of the demons, I prefere not to watch anything too sad either as I always embaress myself by crying like a baby, but besides that I like almost anything.

Honestly, how many beers can you drink before you get drunk?

i can drink about 8 or 9 before a get a little drunk.
but i wouldn't drive after 4 or 5, not that i,d be drunk, but not to get in trouble.. does it show that i'm in my 4th beer.....

Little Toe - don't you think its disgusting though to watch someone drink 15 - 20 pints in one night?
It puts me off going into town at a weekend because the place is just full of drunken fools drinking as much as they possibly can and having a kebab and a fight on the way home, god only knows what it will be like in a few months when they bring in this new 24 hour liscence thing.

How many people have you "unwitnessed" since you've been out?
by mkr32208 ini was thinking about this the other day.
in 25 (ish) years of being a witness... well i guess i became a publisher at like 12 or 13 so actually only 13 (ish) years of service... (i could be a doctor in less time... ugggg) i went out in service lets say an average of ten hours a month... so were talking 120 hrs a year lets call it 1500 total hours.
in that time i brought no one into the truth!

I've never actually taken anyone out or even planted any seeds of doubt (atleast I don't think I have) but if ever I get the opportunity to slate the witnesses to anyone I do, I know quite a lot of my neighbours and I've had an anti-witness with most of them, its funny when they come up my street on service because everyone tells them that they have been talking to me and they don't agree with the shunning policy, its brilliant entertainment.

I used to be able to drink like a fish, but not anymore, these days I'm drunk after a couple of halfs, its quite embaressing.

sinnamon has been torturing and chasing around this mouse in the house for about an hour now...i can hear it shriek and squeak every once in a while...i can't catch it and the most irritating thing is she prolly brought it in as a present... this is the culprits mugshot btw...see any humility there?.

I took pity on a stray cat a couple of years ago and let it come into my house for food (this went against my better judgement as I'm allergic to cats and was pregnant at the time, but I just felt sorry for it), and the bloody thing only went and climbed up my brand spanking new curtains and ripped them.

obsessive personality's
by hurt dave inive notice that ive seem to developed quite an obsessive personality.
with food, tv, a certain type of herbel substance, and my ex-girlfreind.
not that i want to blame the jw's for the whole thing, i know there was a lot of factors(ie my family).

I was a witness and I have OCD, I've noticed OCD tendancies a lot in other witnesses although they will never admit there is anything wrong, I don't think its a coincidence.
There was even a talk from the Kingdom Ministry a couple of years ago, they were getting at OCD but they called it 'habit' and made out that people with these sorts of problems only have themselves to blame and should do more to stop themselves and should spend more time on witness stuff, I foolishly listened and took it all in when I should've been seeing a phycologist.
On a happier note, I have the illness under control now and am so happy to be away from that religion.
