last nite they announced i was an unbaptized publisher.

everyone clapped and there was much congratulations from everyone after it was over.

my girlfriend has never been happier.

Your girlfriend must really have a hold over you if you are willing to stick on a suit and make a fool of yourself, pestering your neighbours, trying to push a religion they are not interested in down their throats, just don't do it, if your girlfriend has any respect for you she will realise she is being unreasonable.

i thought this would be a fun and mentally healthy question to ponder!

i feel better already just to think of this possibility!

for me, before giving away alot of it to charities i would first buy a couple of gorgeous houses strategically set in beautiful surroundings where i could travel throughout the year and avoid harsh winter temperatures.

Are JW's Self-righteous?

a good friend who is a police officer told me last night that he believes a lot of the jw's he has met through the years in his line of work are extremely self-righteous.

i didn't have much of a reply but it did get me thinking about what he said.

so, what do you guys think?

Did you really believe?

i had a friend in all sincerity, tell me recently that i never really believed.

to which i do not agree.

i did and with all my heart.

As a kid I used to on occasion say two prayers before bed, one to Jehovah and one to another god incase Jehovah wasn't the real god, so I guess I always had doubts.

Can I just offer you some advice Sassy, I don't want to offend you as you say this woman is a friend, but please don't let any JW mess your head up anymore.

How do you deal with regret?

i'm wondering if anyone here has devised good techniques for handling regret.. i've been thinking about high school a lot lately, and "what could have been" is eating away at me.

i still had the dub mentality, and i didn't really associate with many people.

i was constantly called a 'snob' because i kept to myself, and i had people asking me to do things after school all the time, people who could have been life-long friends.

I wouldn't dwell on these moments if I were you, everyone makes mistakes and everyone has regrets, some more serious than others, just try to forget them, after all theres not much you can do about them now is there.
