What's the deal with fairies?
by gringojj inone of the most annoying things about dubs is they have all these stupid rules and no one person seems to know them all.
my wifes mother said it was wrong to have a tooth fairy for our daughter because fairies are magical and whatever.
so then the other day we were at the store and there was a dress for play dress up and it had fairy wings in the back.

Source of Flood Waters
by VM44 ini do not have access right now to the watchtower cd library, could someone check and tell me what the watchotwer now says is the source for the great flood waters?.
do they still believe the theory of isaac vail that the waters came from above and that there was a water canopy in orbit about the earth?
or does the watchtower now say that the canopy was a vapor layer, not in orbit, but a simply above the atmosphere?.

So i have heard every argument,including one i don't see above about the water being contained as a rarefied gas in the superheated ionosphere?
Everything about dub science is 'quantum quackery' .Incidentally in 1985 7 years pre-exit i picked up a Wycliffe Bible commentary and was shocked at the similarity in wording to paragraphs from the Watchtower.
I showed this to the local elders (pleased as punch that a 'worldly' work backed up the WT) and they gave me hell for reading it.
Later on when i read COC Ray Franz disclosed that the WT authors are the plagiarizers of the world,they even steal from teenybopper seventeen magazine.
Back to the flood if it didn't happen (since JC and the NT writers testified to it's authenticity) then Judo-Christianity must be false.
We are still left with a whole lotta water that came from somewhere and if there is an Almighty he can do anything he darn pleases and probably do it in multi-dimensional time and space.

16:00 Jun 27, '05 / 20 Sivan 5765(IsraelNN.com) In Netanya last night, missionaries from the Jehovah's Witnesses sect beat up two activists from the Yad L'Achim counter-missionary organization, after the missionaries also tried to photograph the Yad L'Achim activists against their will. The police were called to intervene and a complaint against the attackers was filed. Police said that it was not the first police complaint against one of the missionaries involved, by the name of Sergei.
The incident occurred when the Yad L'Achim activists left a meeting with the residents' committee of a building where the Jehovah's Witnesses missionaries were holding study sessions. The activists had been attempting to convince the committee to force a halt to the study sessions, explaining their missionary nature. When they left, the missionaries - who were speaking Russian, but were unaware that the Yad L'Achim activists also spoke the language - attempted to photograph the activists. When the latter refused, the missionaries used force and physically assaulted the two.
After the assault on the Yad L'Achim members, the members of the building's residents' committee decided on the spot to put an end to the Jehovah's Witnesses study sessions in their property{Footnote from Danny-This is the middle east no less,now who are the terrorist?}

Religious Terrorism:
Since 9/11/2001 many have been focusing on terrorism, it's evil, what's
behind it and how to stop it.
Does anyone know what is behind it? What is the objective of Al Quieda?
No one knows. That is because they don't have an objective. Attackers
of the USA may not like certain political, economic, ideological or
military policies of the USA. But do we know what they like,
what they want? Do we know their objectives? We do not.
The other question that has been posed since that time is: How does one
stop people that don't care about reason, that don't listen to reason and
don't even care about their own lives?
There is another type of terrorism that is active in the world. It is religious
terrorism.
Religious terrorists do not like certain policies, beliefs or activities of
certain religious groups. But do these terrorists have an objective? A good
objective? Their objective only entails attacking that group.
What do we have as the best example of religious teachings?
We can learn much by examining the teachings when Jesus
was on earth. The Kingdom of the Heavens is what he talked
about. No terrorism, no attacks or assaults. Just a kingdom that
would bring peace and life.
The religious terrorists of his time were the religious leaders, the
Pharisees solely bent on doing away with him, because his
teachings didn’t promote their prosperity
Jesus' followers had to deal with that terrorism in their time as Jude wrote.
Jude 3 Beloved ones, though I was making every effort to
write YOU about the salvation we hold in common, I found it
necessary to write YOU to exhort YOU to put up a hard fight for
the faith that was once for all time delivered to the holy ones.
My reason is that certain men have slipped in who have long
ago been appointed by the Scriptures to this judgment, ungodly
men, turning the undeserved kindness of our God into an excuse
for loose conduct and proving false to our only Owner and Lord, Jesus Christ.
What we learn from that passage, we see happening today. Christians
bring the message about salvation through the kingdom of the heavens,
but they have to put up a hard fight for the faith, against whom? Ones
who were among the faith but are now ungodly ones and have proven
false to Jesus Christ.
Religious terrorists don't have a message of the kingdom. They don't
talk or write about salvation that they have in common They are not
giving a message of how to stay true to Jesus Christ.
What they are doing is just attacking another religion, particularly the
faith that they had.
Such ones practicing religious terrorism are those who are
attacking Jehovah's Witnesses and their printing agency the Watchtower
Bible & Tract Society. Jehovah’s Witnesses have faults,
like Moses, did, like Peter did, like everyone else who was ever
imperfect has. The difference is where they look to for the answers
for that imperfection and that is in Jehovah God through Christ and
his kingdom. Religious terrorists don’t want that kingdom. They harbor
ill-will against Jehovah’s Witnesses and spread lies about them. They
don’t want that message to get out. Their message focuses on them,
not Jesus. Those who write and teach against the Watchtower are
terrorists in that they are content solely to attack another cause
or organization or religion but no cause or organization or
religion to promote.
Religious terrorists are focused on attacking a religion, not with the
truth but with hatred. That is the reason that they should not be
trusted or believed. Timothy McVeigh was a terrorist. He had
a goal of attacking the United States for policies that they had and
that he didn’t agree with. But would anyone take a civics lesson from
him? Thus I don’t understand why anyone would listen to the
teachings of religious terrorists as their information is not from

what proves jw's aren't true?
by jwfacts ini am inactive and it took years of doubt to convince myself the jw's arent true.
i started doubting because i hated the idea that jehovah would kill 6 billion non-jw's.
the thing now that is the most important proof for me is that until 1954 jw's worshipped jesus and it is still in the watchtower charter, even though you now get disfellowshipped for worshipping jesus.

MACON,GA.- Religious freedom is a wonderful thing. The search for it and the need for it are what brought about this country in the first place.
If we didn't have religious freedom, then we might have somebody saying, "Worship the way we tell you to, or we'll kill you." Tragically, this has been said often throughout history.
I have nothing against any religion. If somebody doesn't believe exactly as I believe, that is fine with me. If more people thought like that, then the world likely would be a much safer place in which to live.
I would, however, like to address one particular religious group and ask them a favor.
I would like to tell the Jehovah's Witnesses once and for all that I am not interested in discussing their beliefs with them.
I was never interested before, I am not interested now, and I will not be interested in the future.
As I stated earlier, if you want to be a Jehovah's Witness, that's your business. But, please, take me off your list of possible converts, and don't come to my house anymore.
My grandfather had a lot of trouble with Jehovah's Witnesses. He referred to himself as a "foot-washing Baptist," but he quit going to church when he discovered ministers were using notes while delivering their sermons.
He believed, as was his right, ministers should be guided by the Lord while they are addressing their flock and the use of notes was, in his mind, probably the work of the devil.
Jehovah's Witness missionaries began to call on my grandfather. They wanted to convert him and sell him their pamphlets.
My grandfather was a kind, patient man, but not one to be riled. He had politely told about 8 million Jehovah's Witness missionaries to please not knock on his door anymore, he had had all he could stand.
As soon as he saw the next group of missionaries pull into his yard, he got his shotgun and explained to the visitors he preferred they be off his property in three seconds. They complied with his wishes in two.
I was working at my house the other day. I heard my dog barking. My dog, Catfish, the black Lab, always barks when someone drives into my driveway.
I looked out my window and saw two women standing at the bottom of the steps. Catfish's barking, with an occasional growl thrown in, had stopped the women dead in their tracks.
I walked out and asked their business.
"We're Jehovah's Witnesses," one of the women said. "We would like to talk to you."
"I'm sorry," I replied, "but this black dog is trained to eat Jehovah's Witnesses. Got two last week."
The ladies left, Catfish went back to his nap, and I went back to my work.
Again, I have nothing against Jehovah's Witnesses except they bugged my grandfather, and they've hit on me a number of times, as well, and I'm very happy with the religious beliefs I happen to have at this point in my life, thank you, and I don't want my mind changed. And that is my right.
Catfish, incidentally, feels the same way.
