LAWSUITS are the Watchtower and the local congregation hack elders greatest concern.
I was indoctrinated to never have "fear of man" (Proverbs 29:25) getting beat up in 1965 as a 7 year old schoolboy for not saluting the flag after John Kennedy's murder.
Murderous Watchtower is run 99% by greedy lawyers, and holy spirit, humanitarianism, love, common sense is nowhere.Jesus said that his true followers would be the "salt of the earth" the Watchtower leadership is the SCUM of the earth

Dr Deirdre Madden told a meeting of the UCC Medical Society that while it is a controversial issue, the refusal of transfusions is a matter of faith for Witnesses, and deserves to be respected as their choice. There have been a number of cases where court orders were sought to force seriously ill patients to accept a transfusion, and where a parents wishes were overruled, in the case of a child. Deirdre Madden says if a patient has made it clear to doctors that they are not to be given certain treatment, then their wishes should be honoured no matter how sick or incapacitated they become. Richard Parker, a member of the Jehovah`s Witnesses, says that the refusal of transfusions is one of their fundamental beliefs based on what is written in the Bible. It is not forbidden by their faith but is a matter of choice for the individual, he said He told last night`s meeting that neither the medical profession nor the courts should be entitled to force him or any member of his family to accept a form of treatment which goes against that individual choice. |

i know the society tells people not to listen to rock n roll cause its from teh satan, not to watch r rated movies because they're "worldly", etc.
but i was wondering if folks had any specific instances where one song, one show, one movie, or whatever was singled out as being particularly 'evil', and banned on an individual basis?
i was never a jw, but was in the worldwide church of god...the two are rather similar, i've seen many (and made quite a few myself) comparisons on the board; and i can remember as a child that every once in a while certain things would get brought up as being more evil and worldly than others.. examples of specific bans:.
1980's Massachusetts District overseer Rathtopolis (sic) all PG movies as Pure Garbage

how would you react to it?
naturally, this is all speculation because the .
It could happen and then hardliners could get back in power and purge the 'apostates' like they did once already in 1980 with Ray Franz The Watchtower is all about making money,if they default their stock plumments.
The watchtower racket is to me what Enron is to their pensioners I lost my investment too.
said to be the #2 cancer killer in the west pre-cancer growths start out very slowly takes years to evolve, but good news,as the colon/large bowel has an egress to facilitate exams and most cancers occur in the last end of the pipe the rectum so it's easy to detect.
almost a taboo topic,it seems anything goes with explicit talk of sexual matters but folks are squeamish when discussing bm (bowel movements) as a 28 year patient ravaged with a diseased bowel from the auto immune disease ulcerative colitis i have lost my bashfulness.
i have had countless colonoscopy .they can make you so relaxed with a little morphine that i once fell asleep.
PS I had a glass eye that I was going to insert for the doctor to discover, but then decided against it the last minute.
After the second colonoscopy i always requested that the video monitor be turned to my viewing so i could watch it and learn,i also still have some hardcopy photos which are posted online but are too ghastly to link to here.My total proctocolectomy surgery was at a world class hospital in Boston with a ton of harvard medical school students observing.
I had over a hundred polyps which in Ulcerative colitis are called psedo polyps and only a pathologist can tell that it's not cancer because they look just like maligant tumors. The cancer forms around the base of the polyps in UC and are undetectable. The cancer is always especially wicked in UC and eats you up fast.
Solution, bowel must come out and so be it.
Oh,i use to go to a ostomy support group in Boston late 1990's and everyone there including adolescent teens LOVE their bag even though it's a major disfigurement,as the Ulcerative Colitis is that bad
