  I think the officers were irresponsible in not killing him, instead of shooting him w/ beanbags and taking non lethal shots AFTER he had stabbed a BABY!!!

  I agree with your point about looks Avis, but disagree with this here. They still may have hit the baby if using live fire if it were still in his arms.

  If however the baby were not in his arms anymore then they shot him, unless he is using lethal force towards the officiers then they would be at fault.

  It seems that no matter what some of them do they can never do right. Too much force not enough, dosn't seem to be a happy medium.

  Help!! Soft Contact lens Users

  my 18 year-old daughter just started wearing soft contact lenses.

  she tried to put them in about 45 minutes ago and for whatever reason the lens ripped when she put in in her eye.

  half of the lens is still in her eye and we can not see it or find it.

  I think that is just gross

  I think it gross when people pop them in their mouths and then into their eye. My step mother used to do this constantly.

  Did Being a JW Make You a Bully VICTIM in SCHOOL?

  i read this article in the montreal gazette that talked about a young witness kid being bullied in school.

  it made me think back to all the times i was treated differently in school for being a jehovah's witness.

  i grew up in a predominately mexican community and went to public school there from 1st-12th grade as a jw.

  I would knock I my schoolmates doors on Sundays and Mondays get laughed at for it. Rough.

  That was the worst!! I got to the point of when hearing what territory we would be working going in the opposite way if I knew my school mates lived there. Then the fake knock came into play even if I thought someone I knew lived there. This only worked if another teen and I were out and then only if they were not tattle tales.

  Gahhhhhhh the memories, nightmares!

  That is just part of growing up.... people need to make their own mistakes, otherwise they will never really mature.

  I'm just having a really hard time knowing she will make those mistakes and I suppose letting go.

  She has them, I wish I could talk her out of them after reading what you wrote! YUCK! Being 18 and leaving for College I don't have a whole lot of say anymore. You know when they hit 18 they know everything. Cassi

  First thank you all for your advise and stories, good, bad and funny. LOL Shelia!

  What a mess! She would not sit still long enough for me to douse the eye and kept closing it involuntarily as I was trying to wash the eye out.

  Finally I called the Nurse Assistance Line for our insurnace company. Of course she said take her to the ER. I tried to wash it again and had her pulling her eyelid down and rolling her eyes-- nothing.

  I finally say lets go, knowing the ER wait would be five or six hours since we reside on an Army base. Gahhhh!

  We get in the car and she starts to say owwwwwwwwww owwwwwwwwww and I looked and finally could see the tip of what was left up high, but none the less I could see the damn thing. I had her move her eye in different directions and finally it came out! Yeah!

  I compared the two pieces and it looks as if it is all there and nothing is left in her eye. No ER visit! Whew!

  yeah, flush it just like Valis said. it'll come down eventually. It's stuck up there cause the eye is too dry. probably from poking at it.

  You know Valis how stupid I am? After we were in chat the other evening I got in the shower and FINALLY realized what you were referring to by the buzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I started laughing my ass off in the shower and my daughter could hear me. LOL God I am slow this week!!

  I was also wrong it ripped while in the eye not when she was putting it in. I guess she could have ripped it before hand.
