orlando, fla. -- a central florida woman was fired from her job after eating "unclean" meat and violating a reported company policy that pork and pork products are not permissible on company premises, according to local 6 news.
" holfeld asked.
"we do, we can," kweli said.
"(Then) shouldn't you be able to accommodate all faiths in the same lunch room?" Holfeld asked."We do, we can," Kweli said.
"But you've dismissed one of your employees for eating pork in the lunch room," Holfeld said.
I believe that anyone can make a mistake given that pork is part of their daily diet. She was not consuming this food in front of customers, she was in the lunch room according to the owners of the company. Good grief a BLT sandwich is something like a glass of H2O you don't give it much thought before you order it, unless you are like me and despise tomatos.
The company states it is not in writing, unless they have signs in the lunch room. So if she brought a bologna sandwich ( made with pork and chicken) does the management have the right to assure that that bologna is truly beef bologna and not chicken and pork? I think the mistake could have been made very easily IMO. Hotdogs are the same, beef or chicken and pork.
They are imposing their religious beliefs on another and this is not allowed, period. I can see people now reading the fine print on every item they want to bring to work to eat for lunch, it's crazy. I'm sure others have broken the policy without even knowing using the few examples I cited.
Cassi, it that a pork egg roll or chicken?
just a lil rough draft.... the short stories come out from time to time and live in a notebook....
this was not the usual january night in pemmiscott county, missouri.
it was cold, cold and clear.
About 4 pm, I headed west across the River. The new bridge was a gateway to new and greater things and the trip west never failed to perk up my imagination. The snow- bearing front had passed and I faced a bright sun. Four inches of white show coated the fallow bean Fields and winter wheat as I crossed the bottoms heading for the Mississippi River. This land looked like a fantasy in white.... my mind had always seen those bottoms as plowed brown mud or green... as far as the eye could see. The white seemed a little mystical as I let my imagination run for a moment.
For a long time cold, clear winter nights hurt like hell. I'd walk out on the snow, count the diamond stars on the black sky... and look at that moon shining like Sunday china on the shelf.
Damn Hillbilly you write well, so well I feel your pain.
Many hugs to you and kind thoughts of warm summer night breeze's caressing your wounded heart.

last friday, a guy who has spent 20 years in jail for assaulting and raping a 60 y.o.
woman at knife point has been set free.
before this, he had assaulted and raped a young mother in her house, her children were in the house at the time.
A man convicted of sexual assault who served his maximum term without completing sex offender treatment has been released from prison and is living in Bellows Falls.Daniel Dean Emerson, 42, posted a $1,000 bail early Thursday morning related to a simple assault charge stemming from an incident at the Southern State Correctional Facility, where he was being held.
Under the conditions of his release Emerson must report to the Bellows Falls Police Department twice a day. Emerson has family in the area, but details about Emerson's living arrangements cannot be released to the public.
Emerson was convicted of raping a woman in May 1984 and was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in prison. It was his third sexual assault conviction. He has served his maximum term without completing sex offender treatment,http://wbz1030.com/vtnews/VT--OffendersRelease-en/resources_news_html
Why the hell is he allowed to walk the streets? Makes no sense to me. This is an invtation for him to re-offend IMO. And he never completed his treatment. Good god we have guys in prison serving 10 year sentences for possession of dope, if they re-offend it's most likely a third strike for him. But go ahead and let a sexual predator out into the public.
Im sorry Celia you have to be near this ass, hugs and good safe thoughts your way.

The bite of the brown recluse spider can result in a painful, deep wound that takes a long time to heal. Fatalities are extremely rare, but bites are most dangerous to young children, the elderly, and those in poor physical condition. When there is a severe reaction to the bite, the site can erupt into a "volcano lesion" (a hole in the flesh due to damaged, gangrenous tissue). The open wound may range from the size of an adult's thumbnail to the span of a hand. The dead tissue gradually sloughs away, exposing underlying tissues. The sunken, ulcerating sore may heal slowly up to 6 to 8 weeks. Full recovery may take several months and scarring may remain.

Because the bite may go unnoticed doctors have no idea what they are treating and antiboitics do not stop the venom from eating away at skin, tissue and muscle at times. I knew a man in Louisiana who almost lost his entire calf to that spiders bite.
Another bite for the Brown Recluse: ( did not want to post it and gross people out)

LOL I thought it was funny. I think one needs to deal with some things with a sense of humor as this is the only way to get around the pain.
Cassi
No, not for some...a reduction may be in order for some.
