No but if my ex had liked the name 'Chloe', I would have named my daughter that. I do not think it sounds biblical.

i have to admit that we gave our first two kids 'hebrew' names.
i don't want to identify my children online but suffice to say that we had at least some sense in that we opted for safe names of the samuel and daniel type - no melchizedeks!.
however, in our city we had a javan a samson [gen 10:2] and even a zechariah!

Thanks Sally! I did not even think of the car park, because I am so used to seeing the concret retainers. I hope no one was hurt.

I think that because people here have been freed they are anxious to assure many who are in are no longer hurt, sometimes they become over zealous and then become upset because it all seems so clear to them and assume the other person is not listening and become upset. Other times it's just plain meanness.
It?s not just the JWs who are jumped on here either, just today I?ve witnessed ridicule and assumptions because something is misunderstood, why not throw in names and accusations why you?re at it. Seems that this is the way to go here and then ignored by the offending party.

..if their young daughter is going to have an abortion?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/nolpda/ukfs_news/hi/newsid_3709000/3709681.stm.
i think this mother had the rights to know, british law doesnt think so.
I would like to know who takes responsibility if something happened to the girl during the abortion. The school or would the parent have to take responsibility? What if she was allergic to the pills and died? Would the school be culpable?
Would they have been made to tell the parent if it were a surgical procedure? Here in the states medical facilities need consent prior to treatment.

i know that the issue of the man being beheaded by the iraqis has been discussed already but they just played the sound of the beheading on talk radio (shawn hannity).
this is absolutely horrible.....the sound of him screaming just makes me ill.

Perhaps there are times, shit not perhaps, I KNOW there are, my words do not come out as intended. I know in this very thread I misread Six and most likely confused myself! lol
Drinks on me.
Dede Many hugs your way, give me a ring when you can.

Your comparison of a football game with a chance happening to a war zone with a more-frequent happening of hostage-taking, etc. doesn't seem comparable to me.~~Patio

You know the only reason I wrote that little analogy was because you first brought up being hit by a drunk driver and being killed because one is not wearing a seat belt. How you may think that this comes close to what happened to Nick Berg makes me wonder.
Thanks for your reply. If a person were hit and killed by a drunk driver, would it be wrong to say he wasn't wearing a seat belt? It seems to me that people want to know all the facts, even if they're unpleasant. ~~Patio
But I was NOT, NOR were you comparing the two situations. MY point was instead of assigning blame to an INNOCENT victim we should not. Compassion for those who can not grasp the situation is needed, especially so close to the incident itself.
Later, much later, after tensions have cooled perhaps to analyze how others can remain safe may be appropriate but so shortly after the event is not going to accomplish a thing and only make tensions between people worse. Compassion for all hurting now is what is needed not those who wish to assign blame to an innocent party.
