Songs celebrating leaving the faith? Not being a puppet, mind controlled, living life, etc etc
by aley63 ini am looking for some songs that are in ref to celebrating leaving, seeing the light, realizing what you were told wasnt right, being happy w your life, etc etc.
all those emotions about being controlled and repressed, being told what you can feel or think or how to live, blindly following the "brotherhood ".

How do you manage to keep JW friendships after you left the organization?
by Bonsai init seems incredibly difficult.
those who leave the org.
(or fade) no longer have anything in common with jehovah's witnesses, nor do they want to stick around to get radiated by the fear and guilt that saturates every aspect of a witnesses' life.. i've lost all but one of my jw friends quite simply because i can no longer condone the evil things that they condone.

When the smoke cleared, the couple actual friends who were still around were individuals who "grew up in the truth" but who experienced first-hand some of the hypocrisy of the organization (disfellowshipping). Even if they don't know TTATT, we at least agree that the organization has problems. -

"Paradoxically, because the earlier editions didn't mention either group, the book wasn't banned by church leaders and so it was widely read by church members as a result"
Bet that's going to change with the quickness.

by TTATT_Paladin inthe elders at my old congregation, and from what i have read, most others, are allergic to shepherding.. she said something like the phrase "a shepherding call is about me needing one, not about them deciding if they want to give me one.

June 2015 Watchtower equating Apostates with The Antichrist!
by nicolaou inshit!
it finally happened.. years ago i speculated on this happening but can't find the posts.
anyway, this is a tactically aggressive move by wt.

Remember that most who are still "in" the organization don't dissect info as people in the thread are doing. They will simply take their definition of apostate ("used to be one of us, but is now against us"), and follow along with the Society as far as equating it with the Antichrist. -

It's 2015 already
by Doltologist init's 2015. isn't it about time man stopped believing in all of this illogical and superstitious nonsense i.e.
belief in god?.
isn't it time we grew up?.

Logical and analytical thought, and belief in the Divine are not mutually exclusive.

Notice there is no mention of excommunicating for fornication, adultery, etc., sexual moral sins. I wonder if they handle those and how?
If a LDS is excommunicated for adultery, that is indicative of just plain laziness.

To Know
To Dare
To Will
To Keep Silent
Being true to the new path = not bothering to tell them a damn thing. Your new theocratic warfare embraces some secrecy.
Being true to your old path = playing their legalistic and cult-control game.
