  can I be DF-ed without hearing?

  okay i know the answer already.. you can.. but i like to ask about this situation.. this jw is been divorced and of course found a new girlfriend.

  quite clear that the relationship is more then just a friendship.

  if you know what i mean.. so in this case is it following the rules that this person isdf-ed, and it is anounced in the cong.

  So in this case is it following the rules that this person isDF-ed, and it is anounced in the cong. He only hears this via via. later?

  Also have to say that this person was not an active witness anymore for many years. His wife before was and is however.. She also did not know anything about him being df-ed?

  Can this be?

  What is the best action to takke? How can this person best try to apeal this case?

  In the early 80s my father worked for a company that manufactured explosives mostly used for gold mining in South Africa with some of the explosives going to the South African Defense Force(less than 10%) The JWs that were studying with my parents at the time told him to find other employment as he would not be accepted by Jehovah should he carry on working there. My dad made the move and took a pay cut in the new job that was acceptable!!!!!!!!!

  So tell me DannyBloem how is this not a big deal. My father could not carry on working there because of less than 10% of the work going to SADF but they can own half the company. You know what? It's a big deal to me.

  This dessision was made by the person studying with your father. Probably not even discussed with the body of elders. Just a single publishers opinion, to change a life.
  Even if he asked for advice of the elders, it would have mean an individual desission of some elder.
  That is a big deal, for you. Ok. That is something totally different then the suibject however...

  We know very well that the society, or in this case the publishers, can have double standards.
  Just the owning of some stocks is no big deal. I own stocks in warfare companies (indirectly), and so probably you, or most of the JW elders too.
  So again what is the big deal? except the cover up lies....

  Any positive experiences with the JWs?

  we all talk about our negative experiences with the jws and no doubt most were negative but weren't there any positive experiences with some of the few decent jws around?

  i recall an old jw who was of the anointed and who was very benign, knowledgable, supportive and opposed to much that the dubs were doing especially the lack of love among the congregations.

  also another very good natured dub who would always reward me whenever i gave him a little help with his business.

  meet some real nice peolpe, who would really care

  most listen more to the GB then their own heart, and have elss contact with me, but I understand, I have been in that position....

  Danny - There's a big difference in holding a few shares here and there in a private portfolio, to owning 40 - 50 % of total shares in a company.

  I think something like that could happen. Maybe they got the share as inheritance from dub who died. Or whatever. Maybe it slipped it, not realtizing the connection in that diagram. Whatever. Can understand it. Could not even blame them.

  They way how they try to cover up, not open about the truth and lie about it... That is the scandalous part about it IMHO.

  A JW would be DF'd if he worked for a firm that made ANY parts for military machines however, the GB does not see fit to DF itself from the WTBTS.

  I think it really depends, on how many parts the company makes not for military. What is your work there. I could have been df-ed if they took it strict. But I never was, it was never an issue, even though I have worked for companies that also made things for the defence agency..

  jehovah is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient.

  he is the god of gods and all powerful.

  this is a fairly accepted teaching and one that no active witness would argue with.

  The answer: "they knowed what killed them" is quite silly. What they know? they are dead.

  Then why God wants to make sure that the wants going to die know who he is, but the once living he leaves in complete darkness?

  Why must observers attend the Kingdom Halls for the Memorial?

  jesus had only 12 members attend and partake the last meal and memorial.there were no observers in the room.each disciple was given bread to eat and wine to drink.there is no mention of other people in the room who couldn't eat or drink the last meal.this was only for those who would partake of this meal.. why does the wts feel that observers need to be at this yearly event?

  why can't the elders who(supposedly) have any 144,000 in their congregations,have a memorial with only these members?

  if jesus wanted observers he would of had some at his last meal and requested that they be present from then on..

  That they have some stock in some company related to warfare does not surprice me. It is hard not too maybe.
  their way on handling questions about it is very typical...

  anyway it is not a very big deal IMHO.

  who does not own some stocks in companies related to warfare? Almost all here I guess, in some far and hidden way without our knowing...

  basically it is found that early europeans (7000 years ago) were mostly lacking the gene that makes it posible to digest milk.. modern europeans have this gene for 90%.

  they argue that the gene has advantage for childhood survival and therefore has become dominant.. this proves natural section at work.

  yes sure. The last year I was still considered an active witness.
  you think I could stomick real field service....

  I had the terretory assignment in the cong. for a while. Was pioneering. Knew very well, what everybody did, and knew what everybody put in their timeslips. Know that were two significantly different thing.....
  Most were many not dishonest... but sure "very creative" which differs not too much i think....
