  Elder is going to visit me....

  a few weeks ago on the convention i met this elder, and he wants to visit me to talk.. he was quite liberal.

  his daughter has been df-ed and she was going to meet him at the convention.

  she came when we were still talking.

  You're right, he's on shaky ground since he talks to the DF'd daughter. Let us know what he has to say when you talk to him. Sounds like he just might be a candidate for escape!

  Actually most JW's talk to their DF-ed children. Only very few that don't. The special thing is he did not care I did also.

  I do not think he wants to leave. He just likes free thinking. He encourages everyone do think.
  It is just a nice and good elder.
  But he believes most of the teachings, but does not care for certain things of the GB that are more organisation based.

  Would be interesting to see what he had to say.

  Yes me too. p.s. he does not know I am apostate....

  Lying about going to meetings...what are your thoughts?

  as many of you know, i live on my own now and yesterday was quite a scare since my bf and i are $35 short on the rent!

  lol!

  we are already 5 days late but thank goodness i just started my very first waitressing job and made my first $45 tonight.

  I do not think that lying is wrong in all circumstances. Like like to the elders about something that is not of their bussiness anyway.

  Lying to your mum, is not a good thing, imho. Not that you have to tell her everything, but that is something completely different.
  better tell here you are very busy, with your job etc. She would probably get the message anyway, but you can not make here believe you are a good witness that does everything, and never go to a meeting. That just will not work.

  i once had a demonstration on a circuit assembly about not going to parties with worldly people (yeck when i think of it, i basically told all: he dont have fun or jehovah is going to kill you)'.

  anyway the demonstration ended that it was better to do nice recreation things.

  Anyway the demonstration ended that it was better to do nice recreation things. And we saud "then we better not go to this party, and play chess tonight, okay). My friend was holding a chess board on the stage.

  this was approved by the CO, so was there ever a rule, no chess?

  when word came down that a smurf jumped up in the middle of a meeting, yelled 'i've had enough of this shit!

  ' and stormed out, i was probably 9 years old.

  at the time i had a smurf record.

  I used to collect those smurfs and make a smurf of those smurfs. When we had the smurf-study at our house, the were visible somewhere at the top of the smurf, and all were looking at them, but nobody gave a smurf about it.

  He was quite liberal. His daughter has been df-ed and she was going to meet him at the convention. She came when we were still talking. I greeded and kissed her, and we had some small conversation.
  Later this elder thanked me that I did not run away scared. He is actually a nice and good person. Always trying to make people think about so many things, when he does the wachttower study. Quite some provoking questions sometimes. I guess he will not last that long as elder.

  in my opinion, these posters are much more dangerous to the wts and wts like religions then more liberal or posters with a more atheist viewpoints.. they just have some slight differences and will promote indipendent thinking, without realizing it themselfs.

  some jw's can believe in them without being apostate in there opinion.

  those people can devide congregations.. what do you think?.

  ok, take for example the oral sex thread and the fact that the dubs reversed their thinking on this.

  so, twenty years ago (within the marriage arrangements) blow job = disfellowshipping... now it's a "matter of conscience".

  there is no automatic reïnstatement.

  someone here was df-ed, for immorality, but he did not do anything. It was a set up by the elders, who did not like him. Two years later, the elders misused some of the kh's money. They were df-ed and it came to light that the eprson was df-ed for nothing at all.
  Still there was no automatic re-instatement because the eprson had no remorse (which is difficult if you did not do something wrong).

  how's that?
