  What defines a "Woman of Color" in Today's World?

  one person here mentioned that nikki haley (parents are from india) is a woman of color.. what defines "woman of color?

  " is there some scan gun that they put point at your head and defines the pigmentation?.

  i'm here today to talk about something that has been bothering my mind and my heart.

  i truly want to find a woman who knows jehovah's name and worships him.

  but if you live one more day when armageddon starts you will die a horrible death with no chance of a resurrection.

  Not to mention that every day that Armageddon delays, there are about 360,000 new babies born.

  That's about 130 million newborn babies per year.

  So no matter when Armageddon comes, there will be 130 million babies less than one year old who will be slaughtered by Jesus & his 144,000 cohorts. 260 million below the age of 2, etc.

  Infants who would not have to have been slaughtered if Armageddon had come a year or 2 earlier.

  Infants who will be slaughtered because their parents refused to accept a magazine from a mumbling 10 year old "unbaptized publisher", or because their parents ignored the poorly-dressed loons manning an apathy cart, or because they threw out a barely legible unsolicited letter which does little more than point them to a website.

  Isn't that happifying?

  i see ken flodine spelling saying in the new zoom assembly that you should meditate.

  when i was in the cult that was a huge no no.

  it was called blanking your mind and the demons could take control.

  SBF is exactly right.

  "Meditate" is another one of those words that they have redefined to suit their needs.

  Meditate = sit and think about WT writings.

  Spiritual = performing actions that WT approves of

  Mature = not questioning anything that the WT has written

  Etc.

  JW's and the National Anthem/Flag

  one thing we were always taught in the past is how we should sit down and pray (kneel) to jehoober whenever we were at an event where they played the national anthem.

  we had to actively disrespect the flag and anthem and be no part of the world, because we were our own country with jesus as king.. given kneeling/sitting for the national anthem is now the favorite pastime of the far-left and if you do so, you get associated with democrats, how do jehovah's witnesses now 'become no part of this world' when they have to disrespect the flag?.

  I was always embarrassed by the "remain seated during the national anthem" JW dictate.

  My parents were folks who never like to draw attention to themselves, so they taught me this clever workaround for sporting events: A few minutes before the anthem is to be played, take a walk to the bathroom. If they still haven't finished by the time you are done, just hang out in the walkway below the seats until they have finished, then walk back to your seat.

  Of the dozens of MLB games I have attended over the years, I don't think I ever saw the first pitch of the game from my seat.

  Not a permanent change, but "until further notice".

  However, I don't see door-to-door work resuming for at the absolute minimum another year, more realistically, 2, 3, or even more years into the future.

  So, yeah, if you ever wanted the title "pioneer" but dreaded the idea of, you know, pioneering, now is the time!

  $8.50 per publisher and 8.6 million publishers worldwide

  $8.50 per month is the amount for the USA. The amounts are different, usually much less, than for other countries.

  And these are "suggested" amounts, Some congregations will pay less, and some will pay more.

  And has been noted earlier on this thread, these amounts go toward covering CO expenses and Kingdom Hall liability coverage expenses. These amounts have been collected in a similar manner for 15-20 years or more.

  All that said.....yes, it's a big chunk of change going into the WTS coffers every month. But it is certainly nothing new.

  Devil's advocate here.

  There has been a $#!+ - ton of pressure, anxiety, concern, worry, and just general weirdness going on for about 5 months now.

  Maybe putting on the lapel card allows her to feel a little more "normal" for a bit, even though (obviously) no one at all, besides you, is going to see it. Embracing the familiar can be a coping mechanism. She remembers feeling good wearing her card at past assemblies, wearing it now helps her stay connected to "the way things were".

  I think people are starting to figure out that things won't return to "normal" for years, probably many years.

  Before we even get back to 50% normal we're all going to have to figure out some sort of coping mechanism.

  That would be just plain weird.

  As in the case with certain political actions, the cruelty is the point.

  If it's not announced, it's not as cruel.

  I've not heard anything about this, sounds like another wild unsubstantiated rumor that sprang from the head of someone with too much time on their hands.
