Sorry to hear you go through this. One thing I must point out, if he is putting it out there to get a new relationship before sorting out his current situation, I would imagine the elders in his congregation would frown on his behaviour let alone his god. This person (I can't call him a man) is a cad.

What's The Main Reason You Do Not Believe That The Witnesses Are The Best Religion?
by minimus insome people leave because they are fed up with the elders.
others have personality issues.
some have doctrinal and prophecy reasons.

The main reason was the generation back flip. For decades I had hammered on people's doors, hassled work mates and generally annoyed everyone that the generation that were old enough to recognise 1914 as the beginning of god's heavenly kingdom would see out this system and pass through armageddon into a paradise earth.
Of course I told people this as it was my belief, my basis of faith and really my "evidence" of a loving and just god. When I read that initial "new light" in the watchtower, I went numb. What made it worse was that none of my friends could see the change and speaking to the elders, I was warned about apostate thinking! Was I going mad? Only reading here on this site years later did I find out that the wtbts finally admitted albeit briefly that they had erred.

Good Reasons To Hate Every Weak And Ex-Jehovah Witness.
by AuntConnie in1. my husband's time is finite, it's wasted on spouses arguing over money, sex or family mattters with stupid home visits.. .
i hate people's constant open hand for money, it's the weak individuals asking others to pull their weight.
my family worked extra hours instead of begging the strong members for district assembly money, cat food for seven cats or tiny little rag-a-muffins weiner dogs.. .

Dutchman launches life-sized replica of Noah's Ark
by bats in the belfry inhuibers, a christian, used books 6-9 of genesis as his inspiration, following the instructions god gives noah down to the last cubit.
translating to modern measurements, huibers came up with a vessel that works out to a whopping 427 feet (130 meters) long, 95 feet (29 meters) across and 75 feet (23 meters) high.
story here.. .

To allow a restaurant and a cinema on board it would have had to pass stringent health and safety laws especially considering it's (allegedly) floating. I'm sure a quick look about would show steel supports etc. Plus there are no pictures of what is below the waterline, I'm guessing a hull that he built this on because he is not even a shipwright just a builder. The authorities would have had him for breakfast. Just another tacky tourist trap polluting the view of an otherwise pretty place.

Mrs J I worked with a teen who had autism and he never listened to reason or logic but put it on his computer screen and reckons it's gospel. Maybe you could find a few websites that not necessarily refute the whole theory but maybe put it in the figurative sense e.g. We will enter a new world of awareness for the environment or other humans etc.

I have noticed a distinct shift away from literal destruction comments, to it's a figurative destruction...Sound familar? Also when I hear these kind of predictions, considering a day is 24hrs I wonder which hr is chosen to destroy the world? Hate to see some part of the planet getting destroyed a half day early! Ripped off!

It's a tie between Leonardo da Vinci and Mark Twain..... I like Mark Twain's definition of faith: “Faith is being convinced that what you don't believe is true.”
