Quite an interesting documentary on the latest findings and possibilities.
i came across a link on the bbc site this morning to an article in scientific american on gut health claiming that one reason we need to keep our guts healthy with probiotics, a good diet and reducing antibiotics is because there are neurons in our gut that are part of the process to create dopamine and serotonin for the brain.
yes happy hormones and neurotransmitters!
amazing article.. 'the enteric nervous system is often referred to as our body’s second brain.

About 10 yrs ago I got very sick while overseas and was hospitalised. On getting back home I went to my local GP and when I said I was feeling mentally "out of it" and had gut problems he immediately diagnosed me as depressed and anxious and gave me medication!! I actually started to take it and I felt much much worse. Luckily at the same time I started researching on the net.
After much digging I found a paper linking gut biom with depression or anxiety. Basically infection with water borne bacteria can give the symptoms of depression as they "eat" seratonin which has been created in the gut. I went to a health shop and ask for a herbal bacterial cleanse. I took aweful tasting herbs for a month and the results were massive. Never have had a problem since.
My daughter who is a Nurse Practitioner mentioned this to a specialist at the hospital she was at at this time. The specialist said "No your father is incorrect". The next day this specialist came back down to my daughter's section and apologised and said "Yes I researched and he is correct".
Of course this is now becoming common knowledge.
having recently read orwells 1984, i was impressed with how he understood that both politicians and people abuse language.
this further confirmed to me how the w.t had deceived me by using words to distort reality.
the book 1984, also contains many other great thoughts of george orwell.. of course there have been many other great thinkers, buddah, darwin, freud, einstein and marx come to mind.
i just heard the news david bowie has died ,so sad .
rip d,b, .
smiddy .
sorry, two posts in a day..but i need to vent something: so far my experience with "worldly" guys has not been the best 1. my first guy experience was with a dude who left state and never came back 2. a coworker asked me to netflix and chill and i did 3. a guy wanted to sext me all the time but never took me out on a date and i did 4. a guy who took me on a great date but then asked me up to his apartment immediately after and then didn't call me after 5. finally, another great date, until after the guy texted me asking for nude pics..told him no!
so basically i've concluded that i had been giving off a vibe that i had no self respect and that was confirmed by me allowing them to use me as a sex object..but i'm hoping that not all worldly guys are like this, and when i start acting like i have self respect, they will treat me like that too?
is that a good assumption?
Ask yourself what do you want (?)
Accept no less. There are billions of men out there. The world is your oyster.
it seems unbelievable but turkey (a nato member state) shooting down a russian jet fighter on their syrian border seems to be "meh" news and no one is too bothered about it too much.. the world seems a bit upside down right now.
i don't think a lot of countries really know who the hell they are fighting and who is and isn't on their side in it all and really what is going on.. smaller incidents than this have led to major conflicts in the past but hopefully calm heads will prevail.
china shot down a us spy plane years ago and the world survived and forgot about it so things will move on i'm sure.. i'm guessing the price turkey pays for their gas supply from russia will be going up soon though.. man, that republican primary is sucking all the news attention from the room.
About 5 yrs ago I stayed in a villa owned by an old Dutchman in Bali. He was a retired Colonel with NATO. While having a beer he told me that when the USSR crumbled there was a crisis meeting in Brussels. NATO realised with no world enemy there would be no need for NATO. The next year there was a terrorist strike in Africa. He didn't say they organised it, they just let the intelligence slide....
So from what I can figure out NATO are pressing Russia to test their metal. Don't forget the Russians lost hundreds of civilians just a few weeks ago, they are pissed.
The danger in leaving major decisions affecting the whole world in military hands, you get a military response
i remember at my teen years when i was studying with a brother that he said to me that there was no rain before the flood.
instead there was this mist that you have.
never before or after this have i heard something like this.
One of the first of my wake up "Ah Ha" moments

i am not sure if it's true but i heard from a good source that wt has given instructions to elders to postponed disfellowshipping members from wrong doing/gross sin until further instructions given by headquarters.
i heard some jws were just reproved either privately or publically.
has anyone else heard anything like this recently?
the thought suddenly struck me plain and obvious: "these dogs won't stop until i'm good and bloody.".
there were two of them; a mixed breed of boxer and pit bull; clean, white--collared, tagged and--for some inexplicable reason, ferociously intent on tearing me to shreds!.
ah, but i'm getting ahead of myself.
Awful experience Terry.
When I read this it spurred a memory of a witness I knew many years ago and he is long dead. He approached a door and a woman was standing there with her German shepherd on a leash. Staring at him, she dropped the leash and the dog sprang at him. Now what the "lady" didn't know was that Bernie was an old hard man who had been fighting since he left the womb and had shot numerous people before becoming a jw. He had no fear.
Old Bernie steps to his left and gives this mongrel the quickest left hook sending it across the hard absolutely unconscious. Didn't even drop his witnessing bag....
Sorry Sabin but your interpretation is to put it mildly is possibly the opposite of what was going on at the time. I was searching for "truth" and needed to be strong in that search.
To say it was a nightmare just shows you have little understanding of the subconscious and its workings.
Talesin nailed it
