for years now after my exit from the wtbts i have searched for god.
as i have previously mentioned in other threads i looked into many other religions, including druidry, zen and tibetan buddhism (not really a religion), asatru, native american shamanism, kemetic orthodoxy, gnosticism and pandeism.

In my search, I have come to believe that if all people were personally responsible for their thoughts, actions and feelings, their would be no need for the symbolic "parents" that have been conceived by our subconscious to keep us surviving as a species. The great freedom of realising there are no gods comes with the great responsibility that we are the creators of our reality....

as i said yesterday, i am already in touch with the chief inspector of the diversity unit for thames valley police and i forwarded him the articles from the independent and the telegraph.
Interesting that my niece linked the article on to Facebook and each time I commented, the comments disappeared....Either a nerdy jw was playing censor, or those conspiracy theories about the org trawling Facebook may be true. It was definitely a hack, as some of the comments were finally left but the way it was done was to make my comments look loony.
did you ever encounter jw's who claimed to be able to "sense" when somthing "dodgy" read demon posscessed was in the room?.
i've got several jw relatives who reckon that jehovah protects them by allowing them to sense this... "i always had a funny feeling about that lump of coral!".
iteams they have thrown out ( and in one case also run over several times with a bicycle just in case there was any residual demons left in it) are :.

I watched all of the videos and was fascinated to see his mixing of jw teaching styles and New Age fluff. Got a giggle out of blaming the demons for poor behaviour and also that he had two "Mary Magdelanes" previous to the current one LOL! Where do I sign up !!

In my long personal and professional life, I have experienced numerous people suiciding. I have no fear in confronting the issue. You don't want professional help but will post on a nonrelated site? You "believe" you may have depression? Get a grip. Cutting yourself is a massive gap to killing yourself.
You want change rather than death.
Guess who can make the change? You may call this judgement but I will call it responsibility.
i just spoke to a witness friend (has been a witness 25+ years), who said that the elders in her congregation told her that witnesses had better be prepared to begin going door to door, not to announce "good news", but to denounce people who refuse to accept "the trvth".
has anyone else heard about this?
i thought it was a joke at first, but she said no, that's where the elders told her things were headed.
If they come to my door and declare this, I will happily tell them to GROW UP!! Despite all the media angst, life has never been longer or better...
