  Do you believe in past lives??

  i am currently studying for my ''crystal therapy'' diploma and in the last module which is next month it looks at ''past life'' regression... well i for one do not believe in living before so will probably doze off during this last module... anyway i have been told by some people i know that i have been here before... apparently i ''date'' back to ''atlantis''... i found it very difficult to hold back my giggles so i said ''really, i always thought i was brand new''... to which started a discussion on past lives.. i just wondered if any of you lovely folk believed in past lives and had ever had any of this type of regression done??

  i may not believe in it, but if it helps someone heal from emotional trauma then good for them and i'm really happy for that one.. just wanted some thought's on the subject.. peace.

  When people ask me if I have lived before, my first question is "Who am I?" (That can be a separate topic....)

  Obviously, my body is unique at this time, so is there some essence that is passed from death to birth and on? My opinion is that Jung had it right by saying that we can (occassionally) tap into the deep subconscious where all is available.

  When a person's ego is tickled by saying they were a princess in Atlantis the mind goes to work, possibly in dream states or doing breath work, or with hallucinogens. The experience may be real but not the experience of this actual person.

  On another point, I am amazed at how many reincarnated Native American shamans I meet, or Pharoahs and Queens of Egypt but no boring ol' clerks in a 30's govt office...

  Thanks Sizemik. Worth a look at utube. Man I have never been in one before......That noise is as bad as the shakes. We had two close together. 6.1. and 6.8, then an aftershock later at 5.9 I agree with getting out as the building standard here is nonexistent. No way was I staying in a doorway etc. When I ran outside wrapping the sarong around me, the locals looked terrified but had tears of laughter. They don't miss an opportunity to laugh at "bules".

  I just had dinner at a japanese restaurant not far from here and we looked in awe at the cracks all over the walls and disconnected ceiling! Business still going on. In the taxi home, we saw the Carefour shopping centre which was closed and had major structural damage. I am still amazed that the Western media didn't show more interest...

  Cheers exwhyzee, yeah where I'm staying we are about 10 metres above sea level (thanks to iphone app) and about 1 mile from the sea, so keeping a keen ear and eye. One good thing is the birds are back and singing. It was silent yesterday.....

  Thanks for comments guys. I managed to ease the fear with numerous beers! LOL! Even though the experts tell you to go under a table, there is an uncontrollable urge to get out. Yes there are numerous volcanoes here, one was active 10 odd years ago and there was a massive eruption in the early sixties. We were more worried about tsunamies though, as Bali face the same "rim" as the 2004 disaster.

  I am currently in Bali and was having a massage this morning. Suddenly a massive rumble and the sound of thunder. The massage lady screamed and ran for the door. I jumped and ran. From outside she yells, "Sir Sir, sarong sarong!! Yep I grabbed one but wasn't too worried about being naked at that moment... Then a second hit. Damage and injury. 4 hrs later, I am talking to my daughter on the phone making jokes about earthquakes and another hit. The phone connection cut and the earth moved sideways.... The locals are more nervous than the tourists. I have made an exit plan and am sleeping with the door open tonight.

  What is truth?

  and i dont want to see the dictionary definition of the word, as the word is merely a label, and the definition is merely a description of the word.. .

  i want to discuss the concept of truth, as there is alot hiding behind the mere label.. .

  to start off with, is truth merely when we come to agreement, and stop questioning?

  IMO

  Truth is related to our ego. What I believed as true (and important) as a young man, no longer applies and this process continues. If all my "truth" was taken away at once, I would be in danger of losing my ego state and my version of reality. This came close a decade ago, so I went back to physical reality as true e.g. I step off that cliff I die. I don't eat or drink I die and worked from there. Most truth is relative to the situation and our personal needs.

  for years now after my exit from the wtbts i have searched for god.

  as i have previously mentioned in other threads i looked into many other religions, including druidry, zen and tibetan buddhism (not really a religion), asatru, native american shamanism, kemetic orthodoxy, gnosticism and pandeism.

The great freedom of realising there are no gods comes with the great responsibility that we are the creators of our reality....
