Satanus - a south african bbq if you will. The best thing ever is having a braai early evening, a few beers - did that yesturday for my mums' birthday. We ate the sacrificial offering of chops, chicken, cherry bacon sticks - delish.

they burned thousands of cattle, goats, sheep, lots of cities and even a few people.

by Monsieur inrecently an old friend died in an accident at the tender age of 35. the unfortunate event has been described from 'sad' to 'unfair' etc.. dying of old age is one thing, dying of sickness even.. but dying abruptly in an accident (or worse, being eaten by another creature, shark etc) is downright ludicrious.. if there is no afterlife in any shape or form, and one dies being struck by a surviving drunk driver or murdered at a theater, a tornado, or mauled by piranhas, what the hell is the point of that??.
what of all your work to raise a good family, helping your fellow man, doing good deeds, building something etc.??.
it's almost laughable to think that one can do all these things and in the broad spectrum of things death can make it all ultimately meaningless....

i think i found a church
by unstopableravens ini really enjoyed church today, i have been visting serevel in the last few weeks, all the ones i have been to have been okay, but no more, but today i felt comfortable with everything i seen.
it seemed very doctrinally sound, christ centered and the big bonus i did not hear a word about money!
they did not pass a plate(i dont know if they do but today there was none).

much of the "word" in the churches focuses on a financial ministry...makes me want to vomit - I just don't bother going to church.
I step into the garden and look at the flowers - i see god. I look at my brother and feel the love for him - I see god. I look at my pets and feel the love for them and give them a cuddle - I feel god.

Mormon ambush at Walmart

today i brought my son to the walmart grocery store and as we were getting out of our car, mormons approached us.. they asked if i knew who they were.
and if i'd talked to them before.

breaking up is hard to do

and that was just one.. i've been with my current for the past 3.5 years.
she's, just, okay.. i've never felt like, oh, i love her so much.

This is my thing...I will not settle for anything than what I know I deserve. I do not need to be loved by another person to feel loved. The person that gets involved with me will be someone that I see adds to my life and it would be a conscious decision to let them in. I don't want mediocracy and I'm alright with life if I don't find that special someone, because I know what I'm worth.
I find it disturbing, but understandable to some degree why people stay with someone they may not necessarily want to be with 1) habit 2) beats being alone *shrug* Those aren't good enough reasons - but that's just me.
Lou - happy being single until a good bloke come along and if he doesn't - still happy.
