  Alternative to military service

  appearing on the wts' official site is this news item:hopeful in south korea.

  since 1939, well over 10,000 of jehovahs witnesses have been imprisoned in south korea for conscientious objection to military service.

  now a member of the national assembly has proposed a bill that would provide the option of alternative service to qualified candidates.. .

  In Mexico right up until 1990 it was considered "up to the brothers' conscience" to bribe officials for a military certificate stating that they had done their military service. These brothers were then in the first reserve of their army....the brothers in head quarters knew of this and it was considered fine

  In the same period of time the Malawi brother could not buy a card of the existing government because if they did they would be sinning. Headquarters would not change their mind on this & our brothers suffered extreme persecution.

  Double standards!!!! Practised by the GB themselves when it suits their pockets & their agenda, otherwise they couldn't be bothered.

  again depends on how the elders conduct the judicial committee case. If you approach them & say you no longer believe in the organisation, they will say you are an apostate because you refute your previous beliefs & that my dear is cause for disassociation by beliefs or disfellowshipment. The announcement will not be that *your name...has been disfellowshiped/ disassociated* They will announce that you are no long a Jehovahs' Witness. The punishment is as usal procedure - a cutting off / shunning.

  Male or Female

  i have been reading over the forum today and something hit me.

  because i don't look up everyone's histories, there are people i assumed were either male or female--partly based on their avatar and partly based on the type of comments they make.

  well guess what folks--i was shocked to find out i was wrong about a few people.. does anyone else out there decide that certain posters are male or female, and then find out they're wrong?

  matt 2:16 "then herod, seeing he had been outwitted by the astrologers, fell into a great rage, and he sent out and had all the boys in beth lehem and in all its districts done away with, from two years of age and under, according to the time that he had carefully ascertained from the astrologers".

  does anyone know if there is any historical evidence to support king herod's mass killing of children under the age of two, when christ was born.. i can't find any.

  that whole chapter seams to me not to be so much a historical report, but more a justification.. .

  alright i'm being sarcastic.... let me tell you why i said that.

  i had to preach this saturday, i do not want to talk with nobody, but i do not had any excuse not to, so i talked in this house and the girl ask me to bring her the magazines because she love to read it.. i laughed later thinking that in another time i would think it was god sending me a "sheep", someone with study the bible.

  how about sadness, sorrow, sympathy, understanding, even yearning!.

  And if you look closely at that group of JWs' they not really interested in being there themselves. Just glad it's not me & I feel sorrow for them that they feel they have to impress God.

  Google adv "Meet single JW just like you"

  i can't understand why they have put this ad up on this site, as it is only people who are not jw who look at this site (and others) so why advertise "meet single jw just like you on this site".

  i thought maybe it was for single ex jw, so went into that site, and low and behold it was for jw only.

  they were saying something like this "... we would like to say thank you so much brothers for this site as i have meet my wife/husband etc ....and thank you so much jehovah..".

  yeah well you do ex Jw's searching on the internet for partners - though I know the society STRONGLY urged us not to do this.

  or a favorite vacation destination?.

  i love the cascade mountains as example.

  In south africa there are so many wonderful place to just kick back and relax & see so much awesomeness. African sunsets, wildlife, mountains (and all in the same province/state) Nothing beats CAPE TOWN - It is gorgeous beyond words. Everything is so fantabulous there.

  its not poppable, its not red, its like a lump, not a wart.

  its right above my assbone on the spine.

  think its cancer?

  It could be a subcutaneous cyst - but those can be a lil bit sore - give it time. I had one on my back, it initially felt like I had a tense muscle, so like a real idiot had a massage. The thing grew & started becoming painful - in the end I had a "local". Got it cut out - it was really gross and when I looked at what came out *shiver - gag* rather sickening. It came back a year later & this time got rid of it good & proper - very gross again.
