That is fantastic!! What a great job you did. Do you have a link to the news story? I just ran into an old JW friend the other night who wants to get together and I think that that article would be just the kind of thing to get her thinking.

in massachusetts, possession of pot, if under an ounce will only get you a fine, under a new law.. some say this will send the wrong message about illegal drug use.
(personally, i don't imbibe but i know many that do).
so, do you think allowing this law to pass will bring about more illegal drug use?.
I live in MA and I voted on this on Tues.

The problem is your parents have more loyalty to the WTBS than they do to you. That's the bottom line.
My advice? Don't admit to anything in that meeting. Lie if you have to. Say you're depressed, whatever. You need more time to sort out how you're going to get out for good. With all of your family ties it seems like a fade would be the best course of action for you. Meantime, lay low!!

my heads getting a little messed up lately.my lifes moved on a lot since i attended my short return and last meeting on 1.1.2008.. my jobs going extremly well.and recently got into a good relationship thats getting deep.and i mean deeeeep.especially today and i wont go into much detail here.. so why the hell do i feel like im still making a mistake walking away from the watchtower.i feel like im being sucked back into a world that i cant trust where the people around me are misled and im becoming more and more corrupted.is that just the watchtower mind control affecting me or is this really the way it is.. to spell it out i did something today that would get me disfellowshipped and i feel bad.but why?im not in the watchtower anymore.. oh well, just needed to vent a few things here..

Just try to enjoy the good things that are happening for you in your life (INCLUDING whatever you did today ). You've been indoctrinated in JW beliefs for a long time and it's hard to walk away from it even though you know that the JWs have it wrong. You just have to give it time and immerse yourself in your new life.

i was raised roman catholic, went to a parochial school for 8 years, public high school, the usaf for 4 years during vietnam, got my first good job after the military in 1974 at age 25, got married in 1976, went to pentecostal, baptist churches for awhile, and was presbyterian for 8 years during my first marriage that ended after 10 years.

how many partakers were there in your congregation if we get enough of a count, we can average them out over the 100000 cong's and see how close we come to predicting the total number worldwide.. sadly i could not attend because i am out of the country.
