Does the Watchtower Society Monitor this Board???
by integ inmaybe this has been addressed before, but after reading certain comments about people being "outed", i wonder if the wts really monitors this site?
if so, to what extent?
or is it just individual elders etc.?.

"HEY GB! If you're reading this just know I'm still in one of your kingdom halls writing up fake time slips every month, sticking gum under your precious plush seats and would spit in a contribution box before I ever put in a dime.
Take that! "
Hehehe, very probably what I would do if I were still going. (Remembers the beige and pale blue decor)

Apostates!
by sinis inthought this was extremely funny and pathetic:.

well technically anyone in a religion other than our own is an apostate.

*sigh*
"It is best to look for obvious signs of satanism in their yard or around the door, you hve to remember this is who they serve!"
Yes, because, obviously, all apostates will have a big huge inversed pentagram on their door and some devilish statues...perhaps a few black candles and skulls lying around.

how this would work on JW?
by Shazard inif you would preach him simple and plain "your wt teaching is leading you to the hell where you will burn thernally even if you do not believe in hell?
you do not believe that you have salvation, you have no guaranty of that, so you are not saved and never be!
" this is simply with big dirty boots over their tomatos?

Surprisingly, it was a man, one nice summer day in feild service who told me and an another sister something like that. The only difference is that he was trying to be nice about it, he really did felt sorry for us and wanted to save us. He seemed like a very "spiritual man", knew all the verses even better then we did. The man didn't really convince me that hell existed, but he actually made me stop and think. He was the reason I accepted to take off my blinders.

People in the world don't have discipline. - I just love blanket generalizations.
HA! That's right! We shouldn't be so surprised when most JW people who appear on this board use this kind of generalizations!lol (Note I said "most JWs", don't wan't to fall into the same trap!)

The Good News and Bad News (Brace yourselves; cause it is bad)
by stillAwitness inthe good news: i just saved a bunch more money on my car insurance by switiching to progressive!
(though i do miss the free talking duck aflac would send me once a year)
the bad news: it has just been announced at the kingdom hall today that as of now the watchtower is being translated into 152 languages instead of what used to be 151.

Atypical, I was also going for Pig Latin....I guess it's fitting enough for the WT. Other appropriate choices would be "Red Neck", "HillBilly"...um, hey, why not "Sindarin", that way Elves could read it too.;P

Help! They're after me!
by MungoBaobab ini thought i perfected the fade, but i guess not.
i live with my parents, and only my mom is a jw.
i haven't been to a meeting since july, and she rarely goes (not for theological reasons).
-
Lilycurly
Yeah that's what I did. Actually, I DAed myself by letter.....but when I was just fading away at first, I got caller ID because I really didn't feel like talking to them. It worked, plus it's quite frustrating for them.:)

I love the one posted by Blondie though. Much more realistic.:P
