  I was simply being sarcastic. If we wouldn't call Franz names or put him down in anyway, why do so many here do it to others? Favoritism.   Ray Franz was above all else a respectful and empathic man. He did not attempt to convert people to his point of view but was cautious in his statements because he knew that most of his listeners had been through the mill with organized religion.

  I guess I don't see this on this forum. I see name calling, calling God names, and much arrogance and disrespect.

  actually i haven't post for quite a long in the forum and i guess i'm one of the old ones, since i became member since 2001.. after leaving the borg for almost 16 years and disfellowshiped 10 years ago.

  Read the book : Exiting the JW Cult by Bonnie Zieman. 30 years into the Watchtower and then became a psychologist. The book is up to date. Helps you through your feelings. Hope it works out for you.

  why did the sacrifice have to be so brutal... i mean what value does that add to the equation of justice.couldn't he jesus have came down and just been slaughtered like a regular sacrifice without the brutal torture.why is justice served by brutalityanyone anyone bueller... lolnow you know i don't like to type for hours but this is always bothered me

  I have read a couple of your posts. While I'll be honest, I don't exactly like some of your language ( no offense) , I like your "critical thinking" that everyone on this site thinks they have mastered and have all the answers ( sort of like the GB). While I like sharing thoughts from time to time, this place can be laughable. Just because you can question things, doesn't mean you should question every piece of common sense.   What Convinced you to Leave?

  i've been posting here a lot, but these last few weeks have been very difficult for me.

  anyways, lately, i've been thinking about confessing everything i've done to the elders and going back, but deep down, i don't really think it's the truth...so my question is, what convinced you it wasn't the truth and that leaving wasn't a horrible decision that everyone in the truth makes it out to be?

  When I seen the bold face lie about the Watchtower never writing a biography of Russell in the Jehovah's Witnesses and the Divine Purpose book and then seeing the actal pdf of that biography. Finding out how they deceptively hid the fact that we worshipped Jesus till1954. Finally, by reading old books and finding out that 1914 did not originate with Bible Students but came from Second Adventists. Once I found these things, it was a green light to do deeper research without guilt. It is interesting, that for most of us, the things that awakened us, are not the things that keep us out. When you continue to research, a much larger, frightening picture emerges. One of mind control, the organization is all about money, the deception is EVERYWHERE. I was a true hardcore believer all my life. When I say that, I mean I loved the organization and the Bible. It was all I thought about. So for me to leave, it would take undeniable proof. If I could be proved wrong, I would go back. I was a very happy person in the organization. Of coarse, I was very busy within, which is what the organization wants.
